That's pretty funny. But i've been replacing the switches in my apartment with digital dimmers, mostly from Lutron. They're shockingly expensive. But then, so are EGs, right? I'm quite pleased with the upgrade, and they have some great features. It's just that they cost 10x more than a basic switch--sometimes more. the one I got for my undercabinet low-voltage halogen lights is $100.

You should have one of those at your desk for when you interview analyst candidates. Have it control a buzzer on their chair. Even if it did nothing, they'd probably be staring at it from the minute they walked in.

Switch design is cool! Has anyone read Donald Norman's "The Design of Everyday Things"?

In my day job, we spent a bit of time picking a power switch for a new product revision, because the last one had a number of issues, like breaking if you dropped the product, and servicing the broken switch was a bitch as well.
