Note: For the time being, this is an interest check. There is a high probability (90%+) that I will be turning this into a FS thread soon. Item: Alden plain cap toe blucher. Construction: Shell cordovan in color #8, Aberdeen last, size 9D, runs true to size. Condition: New, has been worn once inside the house on a carpet to test for fit and that is all - I guarantee it. Miscellaneous: The sole and heel have been Topy'd. This is completely reversible if you prefer bare leather soles (I personally prefer my shoes Topy'd so that there is no need for future resoling). Representative picture: I will upload pictures of the actual item later. For now, I've linked in a representative picture to illustrate the style of the shoe. I paid $510 for these. I paid another $40 to have them Topy'd. If I do sell these, I will be looking for somewhere around $525 + $5 for shipping. I think that is a fair price considering these have been worn a grand total of 3 minutes on a carpet and do not bear any marks on the sole whatsoever. If you are interested, please PM me. Offers will be entertained. Note: Interest check has been withdrawn. Thank you!

IMO, your asking price is really quite high. Personally, I wouldn't want a topy so that would subtract from the price, not add. That said, very nice shoes.

I'm sorry, I don't have much experience with selling. What do you think is a fair price?

Good point, I'm sure there are some members who would prefer to have the shoe without Topy's. Thus the asking price should be lower than $510. Is $500 reasonable?

Honestly, there was a big sale recently where a lot of us got brand new shells for $300-350 (although I don't think this model was sold). I think a fair price would be somewhere in the neighborhood of $375

Wow, which sale was this?

www.teamshoeseaport.com is selling off the excess stock of Aldens left over from the store's closure.

Thanks

Wow, those are some darn good prices! I can't bear to part with these at a loss approaching $200 when I haven't even worn them properly yet, so interest check retracted.

No problem, they are very nice shoes...hang onto them and enjoy. In the meantime, pick up another pair from teamshoeseaport
