Hey all, I preordered these back in the summer, but now that fall/winter's come I just don't think I'm going to have a chance to do them justice. These are the (in)famous SuFuxWarehouse 660s. It's a Japanese l*vis repro with some modern touches--that is, it's a '66 cut but with a lower rise and less hip flare. 200 pairs were hand-numbered by Gordon at Blue in Green in NY to be worn for one year then judged for best wear (I have pair 191). The prize is a pair of hand-dipped indigo jeans, or something. Honestly, I didn't buy them for the contest--I bought them because they looked like great jeans at a <$200 price point. Check this thread for discussion of the contest and jeans, cheep (formerly cmf) does a better job of selling them than I do. They have some cool details, like orange selvage thread, selvage coin pocket, hidden rivets, and a nifty green on deerskin custom patch. They are unsanforized and unwashed and will get all the leg twist you can handle. And, dear lord, the wabi sabi! I'm still not sure what that means. PM ddml. Sizing is a little funky--the consensus seems to be size them like APC New Standards--true to size for a true repro fit, size down 1 for a regular fit, 2 for a slim fit (5 for superfit). This pair is tagged 34w, so they'd be good for someone who usually wears a 35 or 36. HOWEVER, I had a couple of inches hemmed. The inseam is currently 34, but they are unsanforized, so it will shrink to about 32. The hem was chainstitched with a Union Special. My camera done broke, so here's a few pics from BiG's site:
