Cole Haan Bench Made in England Suede Slip-Ons

SOLD pending payment I'm somewhat hesitant to offer these after a couple of comments they got in the men's clothing forum...but before they go to eBay this weekend... here goes. Feeling seems to be that these are Alfred Sargent made Cole Haans. They are size 7 1/2D and show very little wear. As the pictures show they are brown suede, however the pictures lighten the color considerably. Of all the pictures, the one showing the Cole Haan insole probably best represents the true color of the suede. I got these pretty cheaply so if anyone out there has any love for the kiltie, they're yours for $65 OBO shipped CONUS.

have you tried the Trad forum over at Ask Andy? They may be more receptive toward this type of shoes.

Hey! I'm a 7.5D and those do look nice. Did you find any information on the shoes? How do the soles look? Let me know. I'm interested.

Thanks for that. Apparently Cole Haan has used several suppliers over the years for their Made in England shoes. Your's would seem to be the most concrete evidene to date of their provenance.

I know this doesn't pertain to actual "buying and selling," but I have a pair of English "bench made" Cole Haan's, and based on the nail pattern on the heel, they could possibly be C&J's, per the C&J sample photo in the thread over in Men's Clothing:

Basically my shoe has a nail pattern similar to the pic above (except more nails), and there is also that little angled off corner. The rest of the sole has stitching like similar to the shoe for sale, though the "bench made" stamp is completely different and the writing on the inside is different as well. Oh well, who knows what they really are.
