This was a gift from my boss. I kept it for a few months before I just sold it. It is pretty solid. Made in USA. You can't beat the quality. If I needed a sterling silver money clip I would buy a...

I just picked this up and I am pretty pleased. Just what I expected. I am pleased with the Bark. However, I wish it was a little darker. A great deal for $35. Comparable to other belts in the...

Another Filene's Coupon

Does this coupon apply on top of a sale discount? In other words, if they are having a 25% off suit sale, will this coupon allow you to get a suit for 45% off (or 20% off of the 25%-off price, which would actually be 40% off the original price)?
It says "extra 20% off," but the small print also says that it is not valid with any other discount offer. So I guess the question is, is a 25% sale a "discount offer"? Has anyone tried this?

I agree that it varies by salesperson. I just bought a great 100% cashmere Borrelli overcoat, which was marked down 40%. To my surprise, the salesperson let me put the 20% off on top of it as well. However, I have definitely tried this tactic before and been told that it is not possible. I always try to find the least experienced and youngest looking salesperson and get them to ring me up. They usually don't know the rules or look at the fine print.

Did you buy the one from the Atlanta store?
...so that's where it went.

Nope. I got it in D.C. It was at the one on 14th St. that is usually terrible. They had a few gems there that had gone overlooked, because it's the worst Filene's in the area. It's a stunning coat, marked down to about $1,800 from $4,300. I waited until it got marked down another 40%. With the extra 20% it went below $1,000, and I pulled the trigger. I'll try to post pics of it after I get the sleeves done. There's a few Borrelli suits there that should be a great deal. There's a 38R in a glen plaid and a 42R in a grey chalk stripe, if anyone is interested.

I've got my eye on a few things, but I'm holding out for the 50% off clearance, which I hope will occur this Saturday.

I'd likely be willing to pay some type of premium over the (40% off + 20% off) Filene's price on this Borelli grey stripe if anybody is cruising the 14th Street Filene's and picks it up. There has been some decent stuff in the Chicago Filene's but very slim pickings in the 42R range.

Ditto on the 38 glenplaid. How much would the after discount price be?

Is it the size EU48 camel-colored topcoat? If so, it's a beaut.

Yes, it is. I saw it there a while back and fell in love. I figured with these discounts I had to pull the trigger before someone else snatched it. The shoulders on it are out of this world.
