Where do you apply cologne to? - Page 3

Neck exclusively. Easily the best place to put it on. Body heat, exposed, etc. Can't go wrong.

Unfortunately I over applied the other day, have a bit of a cold going on and I thought it had worn off, I thought wrong and after a nice walk up from town thought I'd need something strong untill I could get a shower.

+1. Totally agree. A little sweating mixed with your cologne and it just reeks in a swampy way. I had my ex bitch at me about that once.

For casual use I spray it on my shoulders.. anywhere else is just a waste.

For years I always wore my cologne on my neck. But it wasn't until recently that I finally realized...most colognes will stain, especially when mixed with perspiration. And depending on the fabric content, the stains can sometimes be a bitch to get out completely.

I have a lot of very expensive shirts with collars that are stained in varying degrees (fortunately, after cleaning, most of the stains are relatively faint).

I now apply my cologne to my chest (upper area).

How so? If you are wearing a shirt, the cologne isn't going anywhere and doesn't have a chance to evaporate with pulse points. So, what's the point?

I'm guessing you all apply the cologne before getting dressed? I don't wear cologne but would like to start. Seems putting it where clothes cover is a waste.

When applied to neck and wrists, front and back, it's pleasantly noticed by the ladies who are in close proximity while at work or the few who hug me and most importantly the Queen of my kingdom!

I don't understand wrists. You do know you're supposed to wash your wrists when you wash your hands, right? And, especially in flu season, you're supposed to wash your hands regularly. If I'm trying on cologne in a store it goes on the crook of the arm far enough below the joint that it won't get squeezed from normal movement. I've discovered the hard way that it doesn't taste good to lick perfume off a woman's neck, so I can't see putting it there myself. So far I've been applying to the chest for lack of a better place.

Chest and abdomen are the best places.

I thought only surgeons washed their wrists -- and only before going into surgery! I'll go on record stating that I never, ever wash my wrists (except in the shower). When I spray cologne on my wrists, I angle the bottle so that it sprays my entire forearm, instead of just the wrist.

For daily wear, I do a spritz or 2 on the chest after i dry off from my shower. Let it air out for a bit then put on my undershirt. This way the fragrance lasts with me throughout the day, and it isn't overpowering. If a woman likes my scent, she has to get cloes to me to smell it. For night time/bar/dinner, I will do the chest + wrist+neck since the fragrance doesnt have to last TOO long, and there is usually a lot of other aromas I have to contend with (bar, booze, food).
