What PS3 game are keeping you around?

I paid in full for my COD WAR for the Wii. I am surprised it is coming to our system. The controls are said to be good and we will have online play. Is anyone getting the new GHWT or RB2 for the Wii and why? I am thinking about getting Rock Band because I like the set list better.

I'm hoping GHWT will be selling the drum kit seperately for X360, as I hear that set is better than the RB2. But then I'll get the RB2 game and mic (and use my GH3 guitar). But defnitely the setlist for RB seems better than GH.

I'm sooooooooo bored tonight. Am I the only one that never gets tired of Civilization, in any of its incarnations? I'm thinking of watching the debates, but in a way I am dreading what I might see after that Couric interview.

GT5:P. Even though it has a small fraction of the cars and tracks that Forza 2 has, the kicker is support for the Logitech G25. When I get some time, I'm also going to finish MGS4 for a second time. Little Big Planet has piqued my interest, but that will be long after I've had my fill of the upcoming Guitar Hero.

Any word on the quality of the new RB guitar? The old one is absolute garbage.

OK, I have never played any Guitar Hero/Rock Band EVER! Weird? Maybe, but I'm willing to try them now. Looks to me like there are so many variations of the game out right now. Which one should I get for my PS3??? Any suggestions??

My personal opinions: If you want a party game (especially if girls are involved), get RB. If you want to play classic guitar hits, get GH. Perhaps these opinions will change with GH:WT.

Another classic that's getting a PS3 remake is Konami's GTI Club from '96! It's one of my all time favorite arcade racers (along with Sega Rally & Daytona) and it's Sumo Digital who's handling the conversion, who did the Outrun games a few years back.

I can't wait!

I love Wipeout HD, but I wish I didn't suck so badly at it. After a certain point in the campaigns, your lines have to be flawless. Same goes for playing online...I wish there were a way for me to learn how to race better.

Anyway, I found out yesterday that Mirror's Edge has a time attack mode. An FPS (FP-PK?) that focuses on speed over killing could revolutionize gaming. I might buy it at launch on principle alone.

Aside from them, LBP and Dead Space look sick.

Yes, Mirror's Edge does look interesting...I'll pre-order that!

Guitar is much nicer. Strum bar feels very solid, although it still doesn't have the tactile "click" of the GH guitars. I'm still waiting to see how the GH:WT guitar feels.

If you're buying today, Rock Band 2 without a doubt. Rent RB1 from Blockbuster and pay $5 to import all the songs from 1 in as well. The Rock Band franchise, so far, just feels more polished and fun than the GH franchise. The GH franchise is considerably more challenging, however.

If you're willing to wait for the GH:WT reviews to roll in, the hardware looks interesting.

Today I became aware of the existence of Dead Space. I'm totally buying that game. Currently playing: Okami Wii, Mega Man 9, System Shock 2.
