SEGA Takes on Nintendo With a Mini Retro Console and Portable Gaming System

Coming off of the announcement that Nintendo will be putting the 31-year-old NES back into production as a miniaturized console with 30 pre-loaded games, now SEGA wants to join in on the nostalgia. Bringing back one of its retro consoles to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog, the mini Mega Drive will contain 80 stored games and let you plug in the original cartridges.

In addition, SEGA is also releasing a portable gaming system, both manufactured by Chinese firm At Games. The Mega Drive console comes with two wireless controllers and plugs into your TV. The portable system features a 3.2-inch display and includes a rechargeable battery with USB charger.

Some of the built-in games will include SEGA classics like Sonic the Hedgehog, Golden Axe and Mortal Kombat, which means you can start playing as soon as you power them on. Each system is scheduled to ship in October.

Reddit is having an absolute meltdown over the new Hearthstone adventure expansion. The vast majority of this rage is centered around Priest. As someone who loves playing the class, I can relate with everyone's feelings. One of the three new Priest cards is this garbage.

This is not what Priest needed. Hell, this card is not what any class needed.

Anyone who plays the game and cares should watch this as it nails why the card is not only bad, but will actually make Priest weaker in certain game modes like Arena.

LoL, Brain Kibler was just commenting about that Reddit thread. You should read what he has to say about it all.

On his Twitter or in the Reddit thread?

I've seen a few of his comments. Maybe Reddit is being too negative, but I also think he's being too forgiving. Purify is a garbage card with barely any tools to work with it in a positive manner in the meta.

I gave up on hearthstone around the Grim Patron craze. Too fucking frustrating.

I'm still pretty into The Division...countless hours sunk. Any games you guys are excited about coming out? No Man Sky keeps popping up.

Dishonored 2. The first one is a favorite of mine.

Andromeda, of course - though who knows when we'll see that.

Wow. No one was expecting Blizzard to come out and make a statement like this. Good on them. I think it was the right move and will go a long way towards building good will with the more vocal of the fan base who has been feeling ignored.

Got back to Witcher 3. Undoubtedly, it's the best game of this generation. Every little quest has something interesting and unique going on. I'm completely addicted.

I haven't touched HS since the Grand Tournament expansion...

I did just pre-purchase the No Man's Sky game for PC. It looks like a fun game to fart around exploring new planets without having an overly in-depth gameplay system that would turn off my ever more casual playing style.
