Dude looks like he is Dante from Devil May Cry with the unlimited bullets out there too.

They seem to be doing a WWZ (movie) style take on the zombies. They come after you in a flood of bodies. That might prove interesting enough if done right.

I watched the trailer and it didn't do anything for me.  Maybe because the preview image makes me think of a dystopia in line with Mad Max not a zombie game.

tucked away in the very back of E3...

It's weird they would even be at E3 considering it's porn they are pushing, not games.

Yeah, no overlap between target demographics there.
And semi-seriously, speaking as someone who has some familiarity with but falls short of being an expert in both fields, isn't it likely that some folks see developments in home VR technology as creating business opportunity for content that blurs or straddles the line between games and porn, or integrates the two more effectively than has been done in the past?

Some of the oldsters may remember a Mad About You episode built around VR and Christie Brinkley.

Sure, I could easily see a "choose your own adventure" type game that featured pornographic material making it to VR. Similar to how the old Full Motion Video Games like Night Trap used to play.

But we are years away from photo realistic video games in VR created using a game engine. So unless you are interested in getting off to women who look worse then a made for TV CGI character, then it's pre-recorded footage at most.

I think it's because VR offers plenty just for the experience like just riding a roller coaster or a flight simulator where you don't control it (yet). Or that Dali exhibit they were showing off a few months ago.

Plus they could do a tell-tale type games to make them interactive. I could just imagine what Japans cooking up for the VR.

This is what I was getting at as any "porn" game produced for VR in the near future will likely disappoint unless it's using FMV. I know there are already in-engine Japanese porno games that sell well there, but the USA is different market.

Seriously, take the most realistic looking female that you have seen in a high end PC game and ask yourself if you would want to get off to an interactive game with her character model. Then keep in mind how much more processing power VR takes and the overall drop in IQ you would see.

Trust me, FMV is all you will get or want for the near future if you are dreaming of VR porn on your couch at home.

My sense is that if you draw a Venn diagram the "realistic" circle and the "what some people get off on" intersect circle but are far from coterminous.

Have you seen all the Overwatch porn parodies out there? It was a big news last month.

It forced the studio to send cease and desist letter to pornhub and other websites.

Hentai perhaps.  @otc has already posted in other threads about all the Overwatch porn available.  I'll leave him to be the expert.

Yes and there is also a Simpson porn parody. These don't really cater to the same market as I would assume we are discussing here.
Well you asked about the most realistic looking female and I am just saying it doesn't have to be for them to make something that people would be interested in.

And they are in E3 because there are obviously some overlap there whether they make a game or simply an interactive hyper realistic experience, it's the VR system that brought them there and they want to show what they could do with it.

I can't wait to try out all those little VR experiences which are not games like the Salvador Dali VR. This is also a great idea, a recreation of Deckard's apartment from Blade Runner:

And just imagine what kind historical events could be recreated. Imagine using VR to get a taste of what it was like to be on the Titanic when it was sinking, or walk around Penn Station before they tore it down.

I have some interest in VR but I feel they are still too expensive.

Like Sony's is like $400 for the headset but you need the camera and the motion controllers are needed for some games so you're looking at $500 for the bundle.

I love the Arkham games so it is the Arkham VR that has really piqued my interest.
