I'm playing this after my brother does a run on it using the Xbox 360 controller. I look forward to it.

I'm not even a big South Park fan but the game looks hilarious.

New PoE mini expansion came out yesterday, some really good stuff so far, and the new leagues are fun.

In the middle of Tomb Raider for PS4 right now and am enjoying it a lot. Up on my plate after that is South Park, Titanfall, and Ground Zeroes. What a great month for gaming.

man, jack tretton just left sony. was easily my favorite of the american ceos...sony, in general, just seems to have really likable execs. sad day today

I thought Tomb Raider was actually a very decent effort. They built up the supernatural angle very well (although the last part was a bit meh). Looking forward to the sequel.

Really curious about Second Son; I got bored with the second Infamous game even though the setting was cool - faux-New Orleans brings back good memories.

MGS, I have to be honest, far more fun watching other play the damn thing.

The one game I am really looking forward this year is The Witcher 3. I remember all the Penny Arcade jokes about the name, but lo and behold, an awesome series had arrived! I even downloaded the Polish TV mini series. Still too busy to track down the books though...

Yeah, Tretton seemed alright. Hirai, on the other hand... Can't stand him. The smugness...

Kazuo Hirai is awesome. Kaz is the man leading Sony's charge to turn the company around. I'm not sure the PS4 would have had nearly as successful a launch without him in charge.

Eh, I think one of the first times I saw Hirai in action was at E3 2006. Not his finest hour, as most might agree.

Hirai is a clear upgrade over Kutaragi but at the same time, since he's been the big cheese Sony has decided to sell its Vaio business and also axe 5,000 jobs. Not stellar performance in my book.

Maybe the PS4 success has more to do with Andrew House than with Kaz (I'll admit I am biased though).

Civilization Revolution on Xbox 360. Free with xbox gold right now. Maybe it's because I had burned myself out on Crusader Kings 2, but I found this simplified civ game to be pretty fun and well done. It's not a substitute for the real Civ games but enjoyable, especially for something that I got for free.

These decisions were made to turn a floundering company around. I honestly felt bad for those people who lost their jobs, but the company believed it was what was needed in Sony's best interest in the long term. You should also keep in mind that Kaz has only formally been in charge since April 2012. I'm not really sure it's at all fair to lay the reasons for these layoffs on his feet as a performance review.

As for the Vaio business, hardly anyone (besides Apple) makes good margins off computers anymore. Think of it as a race to the bottom that few companies' can come out as winners. I always liked the Vaio brand and will miss it, but I really can't blame them for that call.

Before Kaz took over I think most people were ready to write Sony off in the long term. That's no longer the case, even if they are not completely out of troubled waters yet.

Valid points, yet I believe we interpret their significance rather differently.

I just upgraded from an iPhone 3gs to a 5c.

With the 3gs I was prohibited from a lot of apps. What kind of games are worth checking out now that I can get anything. Nothing too serious, just simple fun for 10-15 mins.
