Got a ps4 ordered and I have barely had any time to play arkham origins. WTF. ffffuuuu.gif

Want my video game time back.

I decided to give X-Com another run-through since I didn't actually beat it the first time around. I decided to play on Ironman mode... ffffuuuu.gif

I have never been so emotionally invested in a videogame, lol. The grief and rage it causes... ugh.

I've yet to play xcom. My friend loved the first one and the new one so I've been itching to try it.

Great game, great soundtrack, just great all around... except the computer is a filthy fucking cheater and the game is stacked against you at every difficulty. ffffuuuu.gifffffuuuu.gifffffuuuu.gif

RIP Capt. Moreau. You truly were a bad motherfucker. Fucking chryssalids.

I was planning on doing the same (at least the latter part). Realized today that people were paying 600 € for the preorder. And, I shit you not, an hour after thinking about selling it on eBay I receive an e-mail from amazon which states that due to whatever reasons they can't guarantee delivery on the release date if I change the delivery address. plain.gif
Anyway, it'll all work out.

No game has made me want to rage quit more often than X-Com on Ironman. It's so nerve wracking and painful.

Seriously. Nothing ever gets to me - real life or otherwise - but this game pushes my damn buttons like hell.

Terror mission. First turn, move Capt. into half-cover to rescue 2 civilians while the rest of the team sets up. First Alien activity turn: 2 Chryssalids come out of nowhere, kill Capt. Capt Zombie takes an assault Lt. down to 2 hp. I think "fuck this" and run to extraction point. 2hp Lt. is one square out of extraction zone and then dies to a completely rigged Floater shot from half the map away. I manage to bail out on the mission with three useless recruits/squaddies left only for South Africa to pull out of the X-Com project. For fucks sake ffffuuuu.gifffffuuuu.gifffffuuuu.gifffffuuuu.gif

IDGAF any more other than I own some ATVI stock. I rarely miss my WoW days when I was a basement raider with no life and single. I mean, it was fun as hell at the time and I rarely had time when I was bored because I spent any free time I had playing WoW, but I have no freaking clue how married people with jobs found time to raid, I barely have enough time to play ps3 for a half hour or my 3DS. I'm sleepy and ready for bed by 10pm now. /getoffmylawn

I've actually reactivated my account 2-3 weeks ago (I played for a few months three/four years ago). It's still fun, but I hardly find time playing. Still, a few hours here and there are "enough" nowadays to somewhat keep up in non-competitive PvP. It's become much more casual-friendly.

I will play again if my wife ever divorces me. biggrin.gif

If you think the new X-Com is hard then try the original Microprose one on MS-DOS. Even on the simplest difficulty your rookies can't hit the broad side of a barn and die with one hit.
