i played Fallout 1 back in the day. Hadn't ever played part 2 until now though.

Fallout 3 is good. never played 1,2, or new vegas.

I liked New Vegas more than Fallout 3.

The first two games are great but are very different. They are turn based and not first person. On the plus side, they run on my crappy laptop, and they cost less than 10 bucks from Steam.

I got into playing Fallout 3 a little over a month ago. I've lost interest in it. The characters just don't enthrall me. Does the game get mind blowingly better later on??

The appeal of the story in Fallout 3 is pretty limited. I feel the same about all of the Bethesda games, really. Your enjoyment of the game depends on how much you enjoy fighting and sneaking and scavenging your way across the wasteland. I got a lot of enjoyment out of it. FWIW, the story in New Vegas is a lot more interesting but it's still never going to be the kind of thing you would get in a Bioware game.

Didn't know they had betas for expansions. At least not (partially) open ones...

Neither did I. Especially this being what, the 4th expansion for the same game?

They've had friends/family alpha, and closed beta for every expansion.

It certainly makes sense, I've just never heard of it before.

I'm in Hong Kong, unable to play Fez. People should be playing Fez.

Wow., talk about classic game. I remember that game was scary as hell.

It truly is a classic, a lost gem. People love it for its camp value but besides that, it had surprising ambience, a great musical score, was very innovative, and was genuinely very scary. I tried to hook my old PS1 up to my TV recently just to play it, sadly the picture is very, very blurry. I'm still trying to decipher a way to correct this. Any pointers?

Not sure about hooking an original ps1 up to flat screens. Are you using composite cables? Do you have a ps2 that you could use instead?

I remember playing original silent hill on ps1. Talk about some scary ambience!
