Yup. Thing is, if Crysis 1 never existed, this would be a pretty cool game. I like how the suit works, unfortunately, just like the first game it's possible to beat 95% of the game with a red-dot semi-auto rifle... except in this version, the enemies, story, and creativity have been dumbed down bigtime. Adding in Hans Zimmer cutscenes with cheesy technobabble shit like "Nano-reticulation complete. Bioavailability matrix confirmed. Accessing morphology database. Tungsketen iteration:installed." in an effort to make the game more epic for the ADD CoD generation is a big fail. Soundtrack was good though, I guess Give me back my semi-tactical shooter with futuristic and semi-believably-realistic elements.

Yesterday the sweethearts at Apple replaced my F09 iMac with the new, higher-end quad-core, so I decided to finally go ahead and dual-boot. I'm wondering, what's the best ver of Windows 7 with which to do absolutely nothing but play games with?

So amped about Brink

Brink is getting hammered in reviews.

What I didn't like about Borderlands was that they used GameSpy for their online support. I got the game when it first came out and there were a lot of bugs. Most notably, the stat window for weapons went beyond the window, so if something had a long list of stats, you wouldn't be able to see half of them. Other than that, the gameplay just didn't feel smooth to me.

I played the Total War: Shogun 2 demo and I was very impressed with it.

Anyone planning on getting L.A. Noire? It looks like the first new game I'm seriously considering buying.

I'm thinking about it--the acting + animation both look ace.

World of Tanks is a blast. It is a MMO focused on WW2 tanks.

I think if it's a post apocalyptic game you're looking to play, it's going to be Rage.

I did not follow Rage because DooM 3 was so awful, but after seeing a gameplay vid, I think it looks amazing.

And it's, so far, a lot of bullshit and ambient noise (un)surprisingly. But I think I have to leave it at that.

Pre-ordered it, it's the first console game I am buying since Red Dead Redemption. LA Noire should be as good if not better.

RDR was the first game I've seriously got into for a long time. Hoping LA Noire is the second

Portal 2 multiplayer=phenomenal. My friend and I had so much fun together. The best thing is that you feel so good about yourselves and feel like you actually achieved something when you figure out a difficult puzzle.

Playing the hell out of the new Mortal Kombat game. It's fantastic. The storyline is great as are the graphics and gameplay mechanics. I'm impressed at how well they pulled it off.

Steam is pissing me right off.

My brother buys New Vegas. Installs it. It doesn't run very well on his PC. So he sends it to me. I get it, attempt to install it. It makes me sign up for a Steam account. It wants the security code from the box. Ok. No wait, you can't install it because the security code has been used on someone else's steam account - my Brother's. Fuck, fine. I email him, he gives me his username / password for his steam account. I log in. Attempt to install. It gives me "sorry, you can't install this on another computer without security clearance which we've just sent to your email". You mean my brother's email.

So I email him, he gives me the code, and boom - it doesn't work.

This is bullshit, it would apparently be easier to pirate this game than buy and install it legitimately.
