Yeah, that was the one. I must have played Fallout 2 at least 5 times when I was in high school / college. I was never able to finish the power plant quest correctly. Not once.

There was also some sort of bug involving the car, but I never ran into it.

I so want to pick up New Vegas, but I also hate dealing with bugs. Oh well, I'm playing through Red Dead Redemption right now. I'll see where things stand once I finish with that.

Oh I almost forgot, played through the entire Penumbra series. The first was good, the second was excellent, the third was wholly unnecessary. All around, spectacular.

Currently working on The Void which is one of the most beautiful games I've seen, particularly when you figure how low-tech it is. It's got tons of breasts and sexual innuendos galore, but I suppose it's from an artsy direction rather than a juvenile. Go Russia.

The car and its trunk where you kept your schwag were different entities so sometimes you'd travel somewhere and your trunk would come with you but the cab of the car wouldn't. But it was an easy fix. I never had bug problems with F1/F2 that interfered with gameplay enjoyment, and nothing that was "undoable", the power plant was definitely finishable in I think 3 different ways. As opposed to new F3 where you'd probably just have to go in and shoot everyone.

Note for Xbox gamers: MS is giving away 800 points to anyone who spends 2400 points in October. It's a great excuse to pick up Limbo and Psychonauts (finally!).

Yeah, former Old Republic devs are predicting this game will be dead-on-arrival.

We're talking PC right? These types of things don't seem to happen on consoles (as often), given the rigid QC processes the titles have to go through.

Realize of course that doesn't mean that a game won't suck, or flakiness isn't never built in "on purpose;" just means PC-like oddities rarely occur.

Actually it happens on consoles quite often nowadays now that the machines have internet connections. Ccmpanies push out patches sometimes without announcement. It's not as often as the PC's "glory days," but it still happens.

I bear Red Dead Redemption last night. Great game! Loved the ending, a few things about that game that I didn't enjoy so much, but it was a good one for sure.

plants vs. aliens today I think.

-_- i"ve been using this one save file for a while and then the system crashed and I accidentally saved while the system was crashing. -_- have to start over from awhile ago and this is preventing me from playing the game again

Use lots of save states. Znes is awesome though. But kinda cheap if you get into the habit of using save/load state hotkeys to get through tricky parts of a game fast.

Say has anyone played Amnesia: The Dark Descent? If not, do it. It's on Steam for 20 bux.

I'm loving Fallout New Vegas.

After about 60 hours of game play, not really experiencing any bugs. (Windows, PC)
