Swivel N' Go or Shrivel N' No?

Hey guys, wondering what other cars have featured the Swivel N' Go table in the backseat? (Referencing the 2008 Dodge Caravan, of course) http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20096524/ Is it as useful as it seems? I've heard that the concept isn't brand new, but if not, then why did it never catch on?

That's a stupid fucking idea. Where the hell are people supposed to put their legs?

Right in front of them. How many people over 5' tall do you think will ever sit in the third row of a minivan?

I think that's a cool idea. It basically tries to replicate the VW Westfalias that had tables in them, and makes the minivan into a more viable camping vehicle rather than just the broodpods they are now.

P.s. you put your legs to either side of the table post. Hard to tell how much space is in between the seats but it's probably enough for a family of kids to adults.

^ What?! lol

Sorry for being too family oriented with the content. I just thought it was a cool idea for them to resurrect. Beyond just the swivel, theres also the 20-gig hard drive for storing MP3s and photos (viewable on the LCD screens); a 506-watt, 7.1 surround-sound audio system (including a minivan-first subwoofer); Sirius Satellite Radio; voice-activated navigation; heated front and second-row seats; Bluetooth cell-phone connectivity; key-fob-activated remote-starting capability; and an integrated, drop-down "surveillance" mirror so the driver can be distracted by all the cool stuff back there!
