this reminds me of a funny story of a family vacation to Lake Tahoe once long ago.

on the way there at night taking scenic route, we stopped at a motel to spend the night , but the owner of the motel told us no perishable food or cooking allowed in the room.

my father asked if we could at least bring in snacks to eat. and the owner just looked at us really strange.
we found that he thought my father said, "can we at least bring in snakes to eat", i guess due to his thick korean accent.

at least that was a funny story to us. we laugh so hard everytime we talk about that.
