I used to sneer at "fusion" stuff till I started eating my jeans after steeping them in my favorite hot beverages. j/k I don't get why everyone is in such a hurry to make their stuff look old and beaten to shit. For me, the vintage look never looks right unless the antiquing/distressing process occurred naturally, over time, and in which case the end result is subtle. It must be the rugged look - inspired by cowboys, farmers, loggers, factory workers, and Arctic adventurers - that so many suburbanites and city dwellers are craving. It looks silly though when it's faux.
