What do you think to the pockets, having seen in person? I can appreciate the cool design of having the two different types linked with the top one providing the flap, but something looks off, almost like two cut-off oven mitts have been stuck on.

I've seen it in person as well, and it looks good to me - a fairly traditional shape for hip pockets on a hunting jacket and easy retreival of whatever you have stashed in there.  The pockets would look odd on a chore jacket, which has a very well established 2-3 patch pockets, but this is not a chore jacket.

Studio lighting can often increase contrast and are often corrected for exposure, so people here can see the details of the contours of the pockets, but IRL the pocket design works well and doesn't look as "detached" from the front of the jacket.   I think the main styled shots are more representative of the feel.

The angled pockets on top of hip pockets remind me of a Nanamica jacket I've had for many years and love.  I use the side entry pockets all the time to put my hands in - and I use the hip pockets for my keys and stuff

That's because I am losing my mind.  I've been helping scrape the concrete floor at and paint it and the walls of a new BJJ/Judo/MMA dojo, and the paintfumes are getting to my addled mind.

I like this women's version better. The hood makes the jacket looks cheap imo.

Took a photo of my sashiko chesterfield today. Two years of wear 4-5 months out of the year, no washes or anything:

How many white couches have you slain?

I've been wearing the sashiko hunting jacket for a couple weeks and can confirm it's awesome (and the pockets aren't as weird as they seem). Will post a fit pic eventually, but I've been wearing it pretty boringly, so...

just discovered this brand and i'm loving it! would be awesome if they can make a shawl collar chore jacket in sashiko
