sutor monks on stp

Thread Starter
for anyone interested in taking a risk, these sutor's are listed on stp for magli prices. real cheap for a pair of sutor's, but I'm not sure if it's a mistake. I called stp and the sales lady was unsure as well so I took a chance and put in an order.
if its wrong, no loss with their return policy.

check it out:

The main picture is not a monk strap. You might have to zoom in to notice, though. The smaller pictures are of the monk.

Nice find, but I'm not sure how it's going to work out. I just placed an order and the email confirmation they sent listed the Bruno Magli shoes as the item purchased. I'll probably cancel if I can.

Yup. I decided to buy a Gloverall today (at $127, it's hard to beat) and added the Mantellasi/Magli shoes to my cart to see what would happen...when I got my order receipt it showed the Magli.

I called one of their CSR's who said that she would find out and call me back in the next couple days. I'm fairly certain this is going to be a Corben-esque experience but I kind of want to see if their CSR is actually going to call me back. I have a stack of stuff that needs to go back to STP anyways, so I won't mind adding another pair of shoes.

Do NOT order these. An STP supervisor confirmed these are in fact Bruno Magli loafers (as shown in main pic, 2 smaller pics are mistakes).

Am I the only one who thinks that it would be nice to just let STP know that they might have listed them incorrectly? Seems kind of shady, even if they do turn out to be Sutors.

I just spent 15 minutes with "live help" essentially confirming that these are the Bruno Magli's in the "main" picture and that the smaller pictures and the description (ie what everyone wants) are incorrect cancelling my order too

I just called and although the woman who initially answered the phone tried to tell me Bruno Magli makes Sutor, I told her kindly, that they didn't and if she could go check. After a few minutes on hold she confirmed I'd be receving the BM's - "the shoes will have no buckles."

I ran across this today too. I ordered, my receipt showed Bruno Magli too. I called Customer Service and the woman said that when she pulled up the order that it did say it was for Sutor shoes. But it is backordered. I'm going to let mine go through. If it works, great. If not then I'll be returning them.

^^ I just did the same thing. I'm going to hang on to whatever I receive in the mail (assuming they are the BM loafers), and if they get the real Sutor double buckle monks in stock - exactly what they purportedly sold me, I'm going to see if I can swap out the shoes.

Mine shipped today. We'll see what arrives next week.

If you haven't received these yet, here's some reason to hold out hope. Got an email from customer service that included some odd information:

"this shoe is a Sutor Mantellassi shoe made by or bought by Brunomagli"

"These shoes were not made by Bruno Magli but were purchased from Bruno Magli"

but some interesting info, as well:

"The shoes were made by Sutor Mantellassi and are branded with the name on the bottom of the shoe"

keep your fingers crossed.

I ordered these with a message in my order. They called and confirmed that they are Bruno Magli's and have 0 straps let alone double straps. They said it was a big mess up. So don't get your hopes up if you ordered them I cancelled my order btw.
