YR-End Sales List

For the experienced SF posters, I wonder if you can contribute to a list of Dept./fine clothing stores and their annual YR_End sales schedule. I am planning some acquisitions myself with my new-found base of knowledge.

I will start the list:

Day after Christmas sales:

Nordstrom (suits and ties, heavily marked down, starting 12/26 for about a wk.).

Brooks brothers--apparently best discount for the morning of the 26th, until noon, online.

Are there others that you could set your calendar-watch by? Any for AE shoes?

Thought I'd revive this since it will be very useful in the coming week or two. Any one have the 411 on the following?

Sak's: Can someone confirm a sale on the 26th. Isn't there extra 40% or so from 8am - 12?

JL: I guess I was referring to the UK store, which I hear is some time after Christmas, but I'm not sure when it starts.

Do shoes go on sale at Nordstroms or any dept store?

Slight shift from shoes to shirts. Rufus Clothing is having a sample sale, www.rufus.com/sale.html. Limited supply of fitted button front shirts for work and for play.

I don't know other Saks branches but for the past few years at the 5th Ave. flagship, it has been 50% off marked prices from opening to noon and then 40% off rest of the day.

At Nordstrom yes, but the selection will vary from store to store. They usually will put 1-3 styles from AE on sale though, and the ones chosen are models that typically get discontinued.

For Nordstrom what suits would be marked down and at what price? I don't want to go to Nordstrom early in the morning to get some Arnold Bryant suits that I could get at Nordstrom rack marked down.

Also does anybody know of the Allen Edmond shoes on sale and at what price typically?

Does Charles Tyrwhitt typically do a post-Christmas sale? I'm tempted to order a couple of shirts during the present sale, but if there's a better one coming, I obviously won't.
