I would go with Chinatown restaurant... Really good quality food and price also reasonable ... so good to spend time there...

Bills Burger and Bar just opened up in meat packing....

shake shack style burgers. fresh cut fries....

burgers around 5-8 bucks. fries 3-5....



also for a fairly cheap sushi place that has really good special rolls - sakura hana in west village. the rolls are huge compared to similar places. and they taste better

Dos Toros on 4th avenue and 13th st is pretty good. I've had their carnitas and steak burritos.

bumping this for any new discoveries?

El Cocotero on 18th between 7th and 8th is pretty good Venezuelan food for very reasonable prices.
Maffei's on 6th ave and 22nd has decent pizza.

Looking for a place that makes good basil pesto based pizza...any recs?

Taim is another spot in the WV for a good falafel.

Had one of those Murray's melts yesterday and I have to say the sandwich + chips & drink deal for $6.50 is a very good deal.

this is a fascinating list for me. I like johns, pomme frites, Papaya king, vaselka and burger joint a whole lot. I don't like wo hop, hop kee or jackson hole at all. Are you sure these aren't your "It's late, I''ve been drinking and they're r the only place open" places?
