Been lurking for a long time. I've learned much and my closet is much improved! Thank you.

I found something interesting. It's older than I am and too small but still great.

Now available (trade partner passed)

Also, cleaned out an outlet of a fairly massive haul of Isaia cammo pocket squares and RL Black label stripe ties. Plus some Brioni.

Edit: To all you sack cut aficionados out there, I just don't get it. your suits make you look like crap and are IM-FREAKING-POSSIBLE to photograph on a mani. You can keep them. Not a fan.

Hey guys, had to check out for a while. Few reasons, but this is the biggest:

http://www.styleforum.net/t/502470/giovanni-gagliano-1935-2015

Will be active again soon. Will also be working with a new tailor (old friend of Giovanni), as well as adding MTM suit and shirt options soon. Starting saving up some good trade pieces towards some of the MTM cost. I'll work with you guys to dip your toes into the custom end of the menswear spectrum. :slayer:

Cheers.

A good rule of thumb is to generally avoid purchasing vintage pieces shipping out of South America, Eastern Europe, and to a slightly lesser degree, India. A lot of these dudes make frankenstein pieces with completely restored/refinished dials and usually don't disclose any of this info on their auctions.

Go with the domestic or Japanese sellers... or give @Thrift Vader
your $ to pick up something sick from the shops there.

I have two had two vintage Rado's that I purchased from India. I bought them for the movement and I eventually found correct dials and cases to throw them in and resold for a profit. But... You are correct, as for wearability, most of them are ok, but the dials and cases are a lot of times franken thrown together. The paint jobs I've seen have been especially bad. If you are buying for movements though, there are deals to be had.

@Koala-T and anyone else seriously looking for a watch. The best stuff i got going is Mid teir. with some lower teir but super daily-able. and some High end stuff that will put some change in your pockets.

Happy to help.

:But please, no tire kickers. haggling with watch dealers in Japan is no joke. And no. i can't do an Omega speedmaster for under $100. = legit watches for legit prices. better value than ebay. all certified, authentic items. all serviced and ready to wear. I am even willing to help you with choosing the watch, and band seperately in some cases. From Breitling, to G-shock, and all manner of Seiko's and Citizens. Omega's and Rado's. it's all here. And i will Haggle for you.

Take a look at your watch(or empty pocket/bare wrist). then ask yourself,"is it time to pm Vader ???"....
