@antirabbit Welcome back, man! Glad to see you posting again. That's a great haul!

The Amazon Echo isn't even out yet.  How the **** did a thrift store have one?
WANT that Lytro!!

I still can't quite figure out what this Echo thing is. I'm awful with technology. The Amazon box was there too but I left it. Probably should have grabbed it to ship it in. Hope it's still there tomorrow. I'm headed back to see if I missed anything.

It's been available for a while via invitation only. Only now is it open to everyone. I received an invitation but didn't order. I hear it's not great. I would get that Echo up ASAP before they hit the streets next month.

Tnm: my neighbors yard looks like it was carpeted in maple and oak trees. Or more like they were Basket woven together then dropped. Crazy thing is two blocks away, nothing.

You might have gotten a little EF1 touch down. Fairly certain that's what I had - plotting the damage on the map it was pretty much in a straight line for 2 blocks. Same deal - outside that area, nothing. Weird. I drove thru Alabama after the 2012 tornado outbreak and that was some heavy **** - compared to that you and I got lucky.

Planning winter vacation; came across this when checking out Barbados:

Illegal Activities

  • The wearing of any form of camouflage is illegal in Barbados. Do not dress in, or carry, items made of camouflage material.

Not even if it's this DSquared2 shirt I picked up last year???!!11!

NOOB: Master Po, I don't understand. I vanquished my enemies, defeated my demons. My prize is claimed. The Nagel prints -- why does the interwebs ignore them?

MASTER PO: If a man dwells on the past, noob, then he robs the present. But if a man ignores the past, he may rob the future. The seeds of our destiny are nurtured by the roots of our past. They are young. They need time.

Did Zanella ever make pants for other brands? This tag looks vaguely similar.

Edit: Woah weird, poster above me with a very similar pair. So any info for both of us would be much appreciated.

True story - My wife and I went to Barbados a few years ago (best ******* island in the Caribbean by the way - do not hesitate to book that trip). I have a nut allergy, and on the flight from Miami to Barbados, they served peanuts and it gave me a reaction and my eyes were super watery and red. I was miserable. We landed at the airport, I was so glad to be off that plane. We are waiting for our luggage and these giant military dudes with these assault rifles come running up to me. They (rather forcefully) insist on taking my bags and following them into an office. I laugh because they probably think I'm high because of my eyes. They tell my wife to stay put and they only wanted me. OK, fine guys. Im not a drug smuggler, lets go. We go into this sterile room, one guy in the corner giving me evil looks holding his gun, the other guy makes me take out everything - and I mean EVERYTHING out of my bags. Carry on and suitcase. They're going through all my **** and throwing it all over the floor. I get pissed off and give a little attitude back (had nothing to hide of course) and then they tell me to strip. Um, what. No, I'm not ******* stripping, what the **** man. They point the guns though, and I couldn't get my pants off fast enough. LOL. I tell the guy - look, see? Ive got nothing on me man! Well, except for that pair of camouflage shorts I wore on the flight. They made me take another pair of pants out of my luggage and put them on and made me throw out my camo shorts. THEY TAKE THIS **** VERY SERIOUSLY

I think it's neither, at the moment. I think it's just another way of repackaging what they've been doing for years: amortizing the cost of your phone over a period of time. But it does give them more freedom to play with the terms of it now, since it's out in the open.

And right back at you on a great trade for the Attolini. Looking forward to rocking it come Fall.

So, a microburst hit my 0.25 square mile neighborhood the other day. Not the kind of thing you bargain for in suburban Connecticut, but becoming much more common (Valhalla -- another town I have a lifelong connection to -- in 2006; Wilbraham MA -- more family connections on my wife's side -- in 2011; now this). But climate change is a myth, right Republicans?

I was at work, but my wife and kids were in the house. No damage to our house, but plenty to surrounding houses, and this to our property. Scary stuff; for years I've had a recurring nightmare of our house and family getting hit by a tornado. Now, for a lot of complicated reasons that recurring nightmare has been replaced by some other deep and twisted stuff, but it's ironic nevertheless.

Dude, that is a couple of tree limbs. If you want to see Tornado damage visit Kansas or Oklahoma, or Texas. I have as many tree limbs to clean up as in your pictures every couple of weeks! That's a calm day in the spring and summer!

But still, that man is in like, ******* Connecticut or something. Not exactly Tornado country, so I'm sure it was scary, relatively. I come from Louisiana where the Tornados are spawned by the hurricanes, I **** you not.
