Also, I just looked up the Starr Labs midi guitar.

Got it for $20. Can't believe what it retails for.

I have a hard time figuring out whether the "Edge" deal is actually beneficial.

Shoutout to @GMMcL
for this perfect black silk rag & bone knit tie; you were a pleasure to deal with and I'm glad the jacket fits well, looking forward to a fit pic.  A black knit tie is a long time want/need of mine, because at heart I just want to dress like Sean Connery in the 60s.

I think it's neither, at the moment. I think it's just another way of repackaging what they've been doing for years: amortizing the cost of your phone over a period of time. But it does give them more freedom to play with the terms of it now, since it's out in the open.

And right back at you on a great trade for the Attolini. Looking forward to rocking it come Fall.

So, a microburst hit my 0.25 square mile neighborhood the other day. Not the kind of thing you bargain for in suburban Connecticut, but becoming much more common (Valhalla -- another town I have a lifelong connection to -- in 2006; Wilbraham MA -- more family connections on my wife's side -- in 2011; now this). But climate change is a myth, right Republicans?

I was at work, but my wife and kids were in the house. No damage to our house, but plenty to surrounding houses, and this to our property. Scary stuff; for years I've had a recurring nightmare of our house and family getting hit by a tornado. Now, for a lot of complicated reasons that recurring nightmare has been replaced by some other deep and twisted stuff, but it's ironic nevertheless.

That can be some scary stuff! We had the same thing earlier this week, to the point I went into my hidey-hole on the lower level. Power was out for 5 hours, as was cell service. Drove down my street later and snapped these:

This is the house next to mine:

I've got 60+ foot trees all around my house - thought for sure I'd have one through the roof, but lucked out.

Tnm: my neighbors yard looks like it was carpeted in maple and oak trees. Or more like they were Basket woven together then dropped. Crazy thing is two blocks away, nothing.

I'm glad you family is safe dude! We've been having some weird weather around here lately too. Something is definitely in the air.

It's been super dry as far as nice clothing lately, but I did find a bunch more electronic stuff. Got everything for $147. Of course I missed the good records, NES and SNES games in the original boxes, Roland and Korg synthesizers, electric and acoustic guitars, recording and stereo equipment that were priced at next to nothing, but I'm pretty dang thrilled with what I did manage to get.

The Amazon Echo isn't even out yet. How the **** did a thrift store have one?
