Yeah, I was suspicious, and I'm also totally out of my element. Looks like you are right, but here are the pics I've taken so far. The main difference I see are that 1) there is no branding whatsoever, and 2) the heal looks to be rubber instead of stacked wood. The leather is nice and supple. Insides are lamb, I believe. Sole appear to be coated in red rubber, or something like it. I was a little hopeful they were a sample or something, but I think they are fake. Good thing is, I can take them back.

PS: I'll post pics of the miu and Dior as well to make sure I didn't get hosed on those either.

We're in trouble. I just checked with the guys at the Jewish house, and every one of our answers on the Psych test was wrong!

AT JOMSPO: I was j/k about the jeans, broski, but you sort of stated my point: these are for guys already in the store spending thousands of bills who just happen to need some dad jeans. It does make me sad, though, the few times I've found 'baller' jeans and had to pass, knowing no one here would want them. The worst offenders, to me, were Zegna -- not overtly horrible, but just like Uniqlo level, jeans with a terrible-ish cut. (Dads: investigate Uniqlo!)

Also I just realized I've passed on a few of those PLaydice tees -- old Pepsi, vintage Hawaii. Still can't tell if I should grab or not.

I totally knew where you were coming from though, I think the only suiting house that also manufacturers "premium denim" is Brunello Cucinelli, his are at least selvage and 800...they also come in purple too. And trust me, your jeans finds will not go lost here. I thought I was a denim head before I got here but barrell and troika and a few others blow me and my rotation of 3 pairs of Iron Hearts and my trusty 19cm MIJ Diors to shame. I'd never pass on quality denim. I had a score a couple weeks ago and came up on 7 different pairs and types of jeans from The Stronghold, all selvage and brand new, straight from the showroom. And yea I just tested your theory and went over the construction of the Brionis... they are put together like ****. The fabric may be high quality but pockets are glued and stitched, not a single rivet reinforcing anything, single welt stitching... glue definitely was involved in the creation of these. Belt loops are even tucked under the waist band so those aren't stitched on. They didn't even use a leather patch, they opted fabric. These are strictly for men in their 60s+ who are rich, live in Miami, and don't give a ****...... meanwhile I totally forgot and now remember cuz you mentioned, I have a pair of Zegna jeans NWT's that I thrifted a little while ago, and now I'm torn because I love denim and now I gotta turn that pile of **** into gold...may just redonate them and keep my integrity and honesty in tact to my followers. Or just state the measurements and specifics and nothing else. Probably will just do that.

I usually only thrift vintage, but after lurking around this thread for a while, I've decided to try to branch out a little into modern stuff. Here's a few finds from the week.

Canali

Cole Haan Bragano Crocodile Loafers

A pair of 1950s patch pocket tweeds

Deadstock 1940s/50s Shirt

Don't grab unless you have an immediate plan for them. If your wearing them, sending them to spoo, selling, etc.. but don't just start grabbing vintage t-shirts, you will strongly regret it. One day youll be sitting down looking at a huge pile of cotton that isn't worth the trouble to post, not something you can or would wear and isn't an XL so it can't go to spoo, so what you really have is a stack of cash staring you in the face, cluttering up your home and taunting you with a constant reminder you essentially just flushed that **** down the toilet. Always be sure of what you cop and know its final destination before you do. Before long your living under vintage tees and using london fog trenches as blankets cuz you cant find your bedroom

Will do! Here's the other stuff from today. Can anybody validate the first two? They are out of my wheelhouse.

I happen to have a gray Dior suit from the Hedi days, 2006 to be exact, the lucky part for you is that it was also a strictly for Japan release, everything matches spot on. No stripper ******* to be seen here, legit for sure.

Really? I was actually going to ask if those funny interesting graphic tees actually sell? I find stuff like that ALL the time.

What sort of vintage T shirts are worth getting?
