great suit, probably weighs a ton and is excellent cloth. likely late 70s early 80s.

i'll add that this is probably made by Norman Hilton, who i understand was RLs financial and manufacturing muscle when he first started doing tailored stuff. the o.g. PRL tweeds by Hilton are just about the nicest rustic tailored pieces i've run across but i've not seen any worsted suiting. i assume it's a killer.

Both will have fights straps, but only the official jerseys typically have them actually sewn on the same way the game worn ones are made. There should be a large piece of twill on top of the fight strap that gussets it to the jersey. This fabric should match the colour of whatever fabric is behind it. To have an authentic Nike game-issue jersey, it would have to be from pre-2000, after the team jerseys are made by CCM, Koho, and shortly after all were made by Reebok.

It does have the matching-colored twill rectangle sewn on similar to your pic. I'm assuming this was for the '99-2000 season from the 2000NHL patch. Thanks!

Okay guys picked this up today. Not normally something I would buy but this is a real nice older RL. Can anyone tell me anything about it? Very heavy with great details. Only tags are in photos. This is available if you are a small guy and interested let me know and I will get you deets.

Thanks all.

Fantastic suit. I love the old PRL suits from the 70s/80s, and I have many in my personal wardrobe. If it's a ~40reg and you'd like to part with it, shoot me a PM.

Same here, I've also got a number of pieces including a full tweed windowpane suit from the early 80's. Super solid stuff.

That's awesome! I have a couple DB suits and a plethora of odd jackets, including a bottle green blazer. :thumbs-up:

I just picked up a pretty swish piece the other day, raw silk herringbone with huge lapels, a ticket pocket and dual vents. I'll post a pic tomorrow.

Sounds awesome. Can't wait to see it. I only rock wide lapels.
