Left behinds 5 pairs of Incotex staple Made in Italy wool pants. They were 36x30 and in great condition. Unfortunately, they wanted $18.00 per pair. :butbut:

Sucks but would be tempting. If my size would kop in a second.

That's the kind of pricing I contend with. Worth it for staple solid gray, though, as long as it's the more current cut Inco flat front (I'm not as much a fan of the relaxed/straight fit - YMMV), with the pick/overstitch and split waistband. Personal use or otherwise. Inco makes a great trou, and if that's your workaday, you're doing just fine.

Uhhhhh.....don't do that.

I 100% agree with this, but 100% won't throw any stones in the direction of my glass house.

Bros, so I just had a WTF moment. It was so surreal. I felt like I was in a movie. I went to one of my regular store which hasn't been producing much lately. For some strange reason, I had the nagging feeling that I was going to find some kittens in the racks. I kept hearing meow meow meow. Guess what? I came across a kitten orphan. I was now both ecstatic and sad the same time because i had ****** luck reuniting kitten orphans in the past. But just as I was thinking about that, I looked across the racks and saw a pair of reverse orphans that resembled the kitten. I had to adjust my glasses and stared at the reverse orphans for 3 seconds. Then it dawned on me, I have located the other half of this grail suit! Holly f****** ****! I did not waste even a split second and violently reached across the racks and swooped the pants into my arms! Grail achieved! Kittens for less than $20!? Sure, why not.

N/a as ****!

Good for you, dude! You're en fuego lately!

I was lucky the other day:

1000

1000

1000

1000

[Note that I already got another version of the yellow horse bites one a few months back in the same GW]
1000

And then this:
1000

1000

Unfortunately it has small moth holes.
The good thing is the big one is covered by the placket and on the inner side of the sleeve. So it's not visible when wearing the coat. But still.
1000

1000

1000

1000

1000
For personal use, the size is slightly tight. It's a 40R and I'm more of a 41R...

I'm going back end forth between my options:
1/Return,
2/Keep for personal use (I really like the style & quality of the coat, but size + damage...) or
3/ flip (is there any meat on the bone with the damage I showed? Past listing are scarce and rarely show close-up of the wear ...)

And yesterday:
1000

1000

1000

1000

1000

1000
It's really nice (Caruso?) and I could not let it on the racks...despite it being an orphan as far as I can tell.
The pants racks looked like a tornado passed by 10min before... Such a mess. I abandoned quickly.

*******... I am still learning. lol

You and me both, brother. Nearly everytime I get on here something is posted that I have never heard of or never considered could be worth something. AND my world view of Classic Menswear has expanded immensely. Unfortunately, living in Kansas I lack to exposure to many of the more rare or exclusive designs. But, I'm still learning, looking, thrifting, and trying. AND, I am genuinely surprised sometimes by the things I find here that I wonder how the heck they got here! The world really is a small place when you consider it in certain contexts.

I have been quite lax in posting anything for quite some time but today we had a few that seemed fitting to get me started. :slayer: Brioni tie; tie is actually a more vibrant green and mauve instead of red....might have to wait for sunlight to list this one as the tungsten light does not like green at all. Isaia (120s tagged 48, which I assume is about 38R US but I haven't even measured it yet. I just know it doesn't fit me!) Both headed to the 'Bay shortly...

Man, a new first for me today. Was carrying so much stuff (while on foot) that I had to leave stuff behind because I wouldn't be able to get it home. Smaller stuff, like 8 or so barely worn brooks bros shirts that were tagged at 6 each, and a bunch of bloomingdales joseph lyman cashmere blazers that I was unsure on. But the payoff was absolutely insane for one store. Pics when I manage to drag it all home in a bit.

There were much more important firsts.

Easiest way to start thrifting is to buy all of the purple tags. All of them. If the tag is purple, put that **** in your basket. Then put them all on eBay, see what they sell for, and go back to thrift the ones that sold for the most.

Here's my process

(Thread I)

Step one, Start out just like every new member
Step two, go thrifting.
Step three, find out you made a mistake(s) every day.
Step four, learn something from your mistakes.
Step five, repeat steps two through four until you make fewer mistakes.
Step six, have fun, that's why we are all here.

(Thread II)

Step one, enter an ugly grill contest.
Step two, go thrifting.
Step three, learn something new every day.
Step four, Repeat steps two and three until you win the powerball.
Step five, Eat quality grilled food often.

You forgot about eating Waffle House on thrifting trips!

A member finishing his thrifting day at Waffle House.

Don't open if you are easily offended by possibly illegal stuff you might see at Waffle house.

Keep that ****. Never mind the damage. Wear it un-buttoned with some streetwear like this: (not my pics)

Some people may not like this style, but I do. I wear my camel topcoat in the same style with Black denim, White T (sometimes with or without Grey hoodie), White Sneaks.

****'s swish.

How does the GW tag system work? I assumed it was just time based so that the discounts would rotate to the oldest stock... Am I wrong?

Thrift the racks.
Put everything back but a couple things.

Go back a week later and reconsider what you left.
Chances are it will still be there.

Welcome to the forum. Your photos are good and interesting. You didn't ask for feedback on these finds, but my response will likely be a little more gentle than some.

These shoes are not really something most of us would brag about. When I started doing this, I would be excited by these finds too. So, we have all been there. If you read over the thread and learn and try your hand at this whole hobby/business/lifestyle you will learn too. Here is one caveat, if you like them and they are for personal use, then by all means get them. But, nearly all the posters on here would pass on all of these except the Allen Edmonds.

Excitement over awesome finds is fun to read, though. True, I wouldn't buy them, but I buy men's clothes to flip exclusively (being female and 4'10" - nothing you guys moon over would fit me anyway). But the shoes looked good, his display and photography make me feel like an amateur, and I'm all for gentle encouragement. Because everybody's idea of a holy grail of fashion is different, after all. :)
