Shouts to @330CK, my Secret Santa! I got a dibs on a future find and some of the local FL roast. I plan to be in a pretty sorry state tomorrow so I'm looking forward to a cup!

I am finally listing some of the teapots I found this summer at an estate sale because I have had to write another very big check to an expert witness in two of my cases and I need some money!

Anyone have any info on these?

Not sure if I've commented on those but the first one says inner palace as in the emperor's or a government official's lodging for his wimmenz. Tim Horton prolly commented on those, too. Looks valuable and expensive.

Expert witnesses are unrelated to the case but are compensated for their time to come and give their expert opinion on an area relevant to the case. For example, a prosecutor could hire a forensic accountant to show how a defendant had cooked their books.

It's a huge racket. Professors get hired as experts, get their grad students (also known as free labor) to do all the work for pure profit, and make bank. Any prof who claims poverty is either lying or doing it wrong.

That horrible moment when you come across the suit rack lined with Oxxford Clothes hanger with Jos A Bank on em except for the last one sporting an orphan double breast with last week tag on it.

So. Much. Beauty.

Today and yesterday. Not much, but I continue to buy albums even though we just went under contract on a new house. The Cooper A-2 is likely a 40, if anyone needs one.

These 2 items were from last night. Last thrift of 2015, and probably my last post for the year. It's been a great year! See you in 2016.

Aforementioned Silk Smoking Jacket. Custom made in HK in 1968. A steal at $8.

Dat Cobalt Blue Jacquard Floral Silk.

Had to hand-sew a few seams back together around the collar, and re-sew the buttons for good measure... but it's in great shape for being nearly 50 yrs old. N/A. Fits me quite well. Gonna pop this at a party tonight.

POP on this Kent Wang 6-fold. Thing is MINT. Available.

Cheers everyone! And Happy New Year! Be safe out there tonight.

deetz from those levi's TV redlines i posted earlier. note the lack of care tag.
you'll see the care instructions stamped on the big Es, so i dunno if these are transitional or
if they used the stamp for awhile but these are def early 70s.

UPDATE: in case anybody gives a damn, turns out Levi's started using the paper care tags in 1970, making these Big E.
the stamp will typically wear off after a few washes and you can see the process has started with these but the fact that these still show ink really helps. i'd say washed a handful of times. fun stuff.
