The official thrift/discount store bragging thread - Part II (Return to the Thunderdome) - Page 3131

Did some shopping today. Keep discovering new brands. Devold sweater from Norway has a good following. Pop on the Psycho Bunny. And a 'Gonia synchilla, if I can keep it from my daughter.

Found some Zegna in the women's section. One pure cashmere and one 15mil. Also Jack Victor loro Piana for Rothman again.

A BB golden fleece

Kopped this just in case I get @SpooPoker in the Thrift exchange.

This looks original... Haven't researched yet. (probably nothing)

Another new brand. Spurr is a designer in NYC. Stuff goes for a good dollar.

And this seemed like it might be a something.

Along with some armani for the wife a pair of zegna pants and spyder goretex snow pants--about $83 total.

Gotta get some rest, lots to do tomorrow... G'night and thanks for teaching me

A pair of Crockett & Jones in just my size from a small thrift shop that just keeps on giving. Looks like the previous owner just wore them twice to fetch the morning paper.

Sweet life.

FTFY

Since splitting with his namesake label last year and completing a stint over at Tommy Hilfiger, Spurr has reemerged with a stunning showing at London Men's Fashion week Fall/Winter 2014 as the new Creative Director of English brand, Kent & Curwen.

Seem to be delicately attached so as to not mess with the drape of the item or something.
Interesting comparison btw. An RL rep once told me a "secret" that a lot of rlpl cashmere is actually from loro piana. I think he meant just the fabric but maybe it's more than that...

Gonia synchilla sounds like something I would want to keep my daughter away from too.

When you see an elderly woman rocking a FIRE vintage color blocked Nautica Competition Yacht Club jacket. Jealous.

Sure, I'll take your clearly mens, japanese market, Zegna overcoat in my size...

The ?Wool turned out to be due to her apparently not being arsed to google japanese labels. 60/40 Wool/Silk icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

My friends son is getting in to PRL, and her dad lives in New York, is there any stores/outlets there where he can buy some stuff cheap for his grandson?

There are factory stores all over the country but none in NYC proper. One on LI. Can find PRL cheap at TJ Maxx and Marshalls.

I'm not sure if you've read the old thread or not, but I posted a very similar jacket a few years ago. It's still one of my wife's favorite pieces!
