I did have a grail piece arrive in the mail today that I was waiting for... so that satisfied the urge to thrift, at least temporarily.

naw, and old man came by and told him he was buying it lol8[1].gif

Quasi thrift related, I'm very excited to announce that tomorrow morning at 10am we open the doors to LuxeSwap to the public. I would not have been able to do this without this thread and StyleForum, so thank you to you all who helped me along the way. A few pics for those of you who don't follow me on insta or the LS thread…

Thanks everyone for all your likes and getting this on the front page as post of the week! icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Today can suck it.  Glasses didn't show up...and it would have been OK if it had been my Rx RayBan sunglasses, as I have a few pairs of those, but I lost my indoor / night time clear lens Rx RB's.  I was out in BFE and realized I needed to get gas, hit a grocery, and get home before sundown since I can't drive without the lost glasses at night.  Pulled out and got stuck behind a farmer driving his tractor down a busy 2-land road with no way to pass for like a half hour...then stopped into 5 gas stations before finding one with premium (gas shortage still going on).  Barely made it home with some daylight left to see.

Least I found a few good pieces - pics later after I finish my big salad.

Just Strellson... EU48, so I guess that is 38US?
Had some guy telling me no way I'm a 40US. And I should be going no bigger than 38.

What is fit like here?
Sleeves could be tad short but looks like they were shortened.

Is this really 38US? I've been measured before and usually 40r.

I did not get it. Missing button, tiny holr and too much.

baby j's:

ps - the whole "personal use" vs flip thing is funny. i'd make the case that from a *net good* perspective it's far more preferable to find some grail in a thrift and bring it to market: either way you support a non-profit, but reselling has to potential to support a consignor's small business, the various marketplaces, banks, shipping companies, the local tax base, and everyone who works and supports those enterprises, not to mention enjoying a slice for the trouble. on the other hand if you cop for personal use it amounts to saving a buck. but that's middle class morality for you.

This thing is awesome. Great find!

My ponk finds.  Pics mostly suck because I still have a black background and darker stuff no bueno on it with my camera.

Doesn't stink too bad:

A congeries of scarves...

Wool / cash:

Only "346" but I dig the color scheme; also cashm.

First time finding this brand for me:

Can't see the tag - Lardini...

NWT.

NWOT.

2x NWT moleskin:

Briefly looked for inside tags and didn't find any (didn't look too hard) - was this stuff ever faked?  It's obviously old - white has yellowed a bit etc...:

Where does "ID" rank in the hierarchy?  High or low it's still a damn nice jacket...

Forgot to take one last inside label pic of the Barbour - it's from AW 2015.

I almost moved on that. "I think its the same one"Thought it had been altered at the bottom as it seemed really short for a regular for how close it was to the bottom of the pockets. Glad it will work for you especially NWT.

Thanks! It probably is the same one. Definitely not thrift prices, but well undervalued that's for sure.

Seeing all the outerwear makes me happy. Jackets are by far my favorite thing to thrift and they are starting to roll out. I love it.

And @TheNeedMachine, that haul fucking rules!
