Was my first thought, being made in France and all but not sure how to verify that.

Great now I have to go through the whole store....

Went to a fleamarket with the girl im dating, was kinda afraid my maniac flea market persona would scare her away but luckily she found it mostly charming. Was kinda disappointed with what I found but anyhow..

Insane Kenzo bathrobe, im never using a towel again!

spent 1€ on this Alfred Dunhill cashmere sweater, the guy selling it was like, Oh I bought that thing in NY, was like 200€, what did you pay? (I bought it from his wife) me: 1€ He: Ah, much better! love ol rich ppl not caring at all.

Breuer and Eton ps. Last year I bought a bunch of boots from a second hand store here in town, all custom made for someone ages ago. Today I saw these black suede laceup boots at the fleamarket and thought, hey these must be from the same cobbler. When I get home I notice one of the heels are higher than the other, as did all the custom made ones I found a year ago, turns out its from the same owner! My town aint big but not THAT small! Now I just gotta get them fixed at the local cobbler cuz they fit me perfectly!

Didnt feel done with thrifting for the day so I went to a store.

First I found this Our Legacy sweater with suede arms. As my personal wardrobe consists of 70% OL I was quite happy with this one fitting me.

Then I found this..

Well POP, and yea, searched the rest of the store but sadly found nothing else.. Exept a ladies Cucinelli cashmere cardigan... with a hole in it:( Sweden aint the place to sell high end luxury goods like that so left it.. so (thriftstore) POP on cuci, aaaand release:(

Long time listener, first time caller...my first month of thrifting has largely been one of Kirkland, Gap, Izod and Hilfiger, but in the last few days my luck has turned: a mint Canali blue label jacket, vintage Samuelson PoW jacket, Zegna/Etro/Ted Baker/Mastai Ferreti shirts, NWT Viyella merino V-neck, NWT Jack Spade wool crewneck, and this curiosity:

At first I though fake for sure, but there is a post-2010 Ittierre tag in it:

Anyone have a clue?

fake or not I would wear the hell out of that one.

edit: http://www.bymall.ru/Hermes-Sweater-56732.html

Edit 2: theres a blue one also, but I cant really compare the two due to crappy pictures, but googling "fake hermes sweater" the purple one was one of the first results..

Wow, thanks for finding that so quickly Doomsticks!

Another Q: are Su Misura orphans (blue-on-blue pinstripe, commissioner's name on Su Misura tag, and little tag on other side with Hebrew writing - deshatnezied?) ever worth a pick up? This one was a 46-48 and had one broken button...

Actually one more Q: is it expected to dryclean items before passing along, or caveat emptor?

I would pass on the zegna orphan, especially if pinstripe and especially if damaged. The shatnez tag you see is basically like kosher clothing for people of the Jewish faith. And dry cleaning is not necessary unless it IS necessary.

From yesterday. One stop, one kopp. Oldest Hanes tag I've seen, which is pretty cool. Finding stuff like this makes me think about the whole lives behind the things we find. This shirt, for example. Someone had to run an entire marathon 35 years ago in another state in order to acquire this shirt. Not like they were just selling them by the roadside. This represents an achievement in someone's life and now, for $1.50, it belongs to me. Not sure what that all means, if anything. Just an observation. Good luck out there this weekend!
