I had that same thought but I am leaning more toward vintage (wearable) models. For the price you can get them for and for the quality you get, you cannot beat it.

For example, one of the best steals I've seen on eBay in recent memory: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nike-Air-Jordan-1-Chicago-1994-OG-/152226789088?hash=item23716c76e0:g:yNoAAOSwgmJXyKth

How much should have those gone for? I know very little about sneakers, but I find the whole industry very interesting.

From what I've seen in the past, in that good of condition $300-$450, more with box/card. See sold listings.

I'm hip to no Jordans anymore, but the 1's are a must. To me Jordans are has been sneakers. Only originals are worth seeking for me (for personal use)

either way, there's really no way to do that kind of intarsia other than by hand. pull the inside side seam aside and look at how it's put together (you can look at the armhole as well). pm a pic if you like, if it's chain stitched i'd guess it's professional. if it's a really simple ladder stitch it's probably homebrew.

also: back in the mists of time (up into the 1980s i guess) there were actually cottage industrialists doing these kinds of pieces. today you can still see the descendants of these primordial craftspeople creating and selling wire jewelry on etsy.

Yes, since those were posted I've had approx 69 night terrors of those shoes, individually gobbling up my body, after it was cut in half and drenched in salt. Thanks biggrin.gif

Only thing is, the older the better and mine will be pretty old!

Sulka shirt, super soft.  65% Cashmere, 35% Silk.  Oh so smooth, but too big for me.  :(

Going to list if for sale with those wrinkles in the main pic (OK, no I won't).
