If thats the case then shit me.

yep that's how that website works. they cull what they think is notable from their donations and auction it off.

whoever came up with the idea is a genius... lots of folks following so they tend to get pretty good sellers prices and then charge handling on top of the final bid. but still, deals to be had.

During that time you would also see garments such as

Bonus Trivia:T or F: Was Jompso watching 106th and Park on BET one day and after the end of the new Hot Boys video, immediately purchase a full velour Burberry tartan nova check velour suit....as in head to toe nova check velour? True. Regrets? That I don't still own it.

The reputation of Burberry Nova check was so badly damaged in the UK by firstly the people wearing it in the early to mid to 2000s and then secondly by the massive amount of fakes that it will take decades until it will be truly acceptable to wear it and be stylish. As a lining in a raincoat, yes, but that's it.

Unless people have really short memories.

That said, I made a killing flipping it at the time, I remember a shirt and a Harrington jacket in the check that both did very well.

one more point: many of these thrifts do have relationships with folks that have The Knowledge and they will evaluate and refer, etc. i've seen it happen on a quid pro quo basis but also with volunteer pros / enthusiasts.

Any idea on this maker?  It's on a Prada sport coat.  I've only seen Cantarelli for Prada.

Someone mentioned the other day about things going for crazy money on EBTH. They habitually sell Burberry nova check cashmere scarves for over $200. I've seen a couple (with the older tag) in the $240 range.

I have a nearly new one waiting for some colder temps to be sold.
