Non thrift related, but, I finally got my hands on the new Adidas NMDs. Excited to see what the 'hype' is about.

Picked up a NWT Hickey Freeman pair of these on 50% off day yesterday. What on Earth would I wear with them or do I just burn them lol

Also found a recent Armani Collezioni velvet brown glen plaid jacket. Depending on how the jacket is brushed, it looks like it might be missing fabric? I thought maybe moth holes but theres no hole through it unless they just ate the velvet. IDK hard to describe so maybe I'll snap a picture tomorrow. I'm not sure if this is common for velvet or if it is damaged? There's also what I think is a BBQ stain on the bottom of the sleeve. It's not easily noticable because the colors blend. Gonna try the baby wipes :slayer:

I have one of the Rockefeller Oxxford suits that somebody found at a thrift and sold a bunch of on ebay.   It has to be the nicest suit I have.  Gorgeous fabric.  When I bought it, it was listed as a 50L.  But, Senator Rockefeller was a little bigger than 50L.  I had to have it tailored, but it fits great and feels good, too.  I didn't realize how big he is.  I knew he was a little taller than me, but he is just big all over!   I bet that suit has seen some pretty amazing stuff considering how long he served in the senate and being from an OLD ultra wealthy family.

Pretty sure this is real scrimshaw that somebody glued to a box in the fifties. I'm trying to figure out the best way possible to remove it from the box without damaging it.

And finally, I found these last three on the same day at two different stores. All 3 were thrift price, the Whitcomb was $9, the DB Steed was $12 and the single breast was $15.

Pictures suck for these, as I snapped them on a low light day. foo.gif The navy DB has chalk marks on it and the vents were pinned shut, like it was going to be altered but never was. The windowpane is missing the Steed tag, but it's clear the two suits were made by the same hands, just check the details.

Really? I'm always super disappointed with the way they come out. I've been trying to get better, but it's a slow process.

My phone died literally seconds before that ended was pretty disappointed.
