That is awesome. Not sure what you need help with on it, but it's definitely true vintage of that era (mid 80's).

Took me awhile to catch on, but I finally learned my lesson to do BINOBO on cool stuff like this. Sold one of the same vintage a couple years back for half that price at auction. Still kicking myself on that one.

Awesome find. Unfortunately bib overalls don't bring in the most money in the vintage workwear category, but a great find regardless. This stuff is scarce! Placing a date on these is tough, but if I had to guess, I'd say 40's.

Interesting. Googled the guy who's name is on them - Looks like he was born about 1895 in Japan, came to the states, ran a restaurant in Solano, and got interned on Angel Island during WWII. Fascinating. I think I will just auction these and see how they go.

Yeah, this is what I found! Crazy to know who they belonged to, and since I found these in SF and this appears to be a very uncommon name, it had to be this person. Where the hell had they been kicking around for the past 70 years? Wow.

I could be wrong but I think Spoos pair finished in the $300 range.

Sorry of I'm wrong but I'm 99% sure .

That name shows up on this site as well, same era...

This site says they switched to "crown-headlight" in the 30s. http://americanasbdg.blogspot.com/2012/04/headlight-overalls.html

Also, where they a precursor to carhartt? There is a sold on the bay that mentions Carhartt headlight on the label.

Very very cool. I wish I could find more vintage items.

@spoopoker

Now you've seen two.

Never worn it since I found it about 3 years ago. Fits perfectly just never got rid of it.

These are green. GREEN TASSEKS!

And these are croc no sock

I'm too lazy to head over to my Tumblr for all the other iGents who do it way better than I do (but not nearly as well as Spoo, to be fair)
Tasseks are grrrreat. And sockless is grrrreat.

Looks like Spoo went to bed early.

I went thrifting in my closet today. Will be doing a purge very soon. (HOORAY!)

But it's because we desperately need some cash. (Boo!)

If you're a 40R and want some decent stuff, lets talk. No can do proxy pricing (again, need cash), but I'm happy to avoid making eBay rich.

This is a common occurrence at stores by me ffffuuuu.gif

Left is a tie with an industrial staple through it, right is a scarf with an office staple. Very few ties come out unscathed cry.gif

Pretty much all NA.

I feel your pain... this drives me mad. You can't figure out how to get a tag around the keeper on a tie? It's a big loop of cloth. It's not rocket science.

Currently in LA for the first time ever. Palm trees are funny looking. Not gonna get to thrift but I convinced my wife that she'd like Wasteland (thanks Chet!). She didn't believe me but she's in love with the Vivienne Westwood jacket she now owns. Was cool to see labels like Tom Ford and Cuci and Yohji in real life for the first time. Dior leather with the tags still attached. Rick Owens. Crazy stuff. I didn't buy anything but I bought these three for self wear across the street and Crossroads. I think I finally found the right Woolrich. Either way I have a sweet quilted jacket for the fall.

And then I walked down to Self Edge and dropped $300 on a pair of jeans.

Nice!  I've been on the lookout for some suede tassels.  13D/M if anybody comes across some :hide:  As close as I can get are the suede Gravati's Spoo hooked me up with.
