i doubt from the 50s. to my mind those scovill snaps are earlier. it's funny i had done some research on dating scovills for a leather jacket that i was looking at last week.

 

measure out the diameter of the snaps, take a note of the back deetz and compare to this:

Sold those LV driving loafers on CL today for 200 each that I got for 6.99 and the lovely female who was buying them for her dad asked me out after...the perks of this thing of ours.

Found this late 60s/early 70s Made in Japan Candle radio at some vintage stuff/artsy boutique place in small village here. Radio didn't work. I guess for them it was decorative home decor?

I collect radios like this. Picked it up cheap and opened it up at home. Needed a couple spots resoldered and the clock cleaned up a bit. It's now working and seems to keep accurate time.

The alarm tone is LOUD. Think air-raid siren and you get the idea.
