Since you mention you are a rookie and looking for feedback, I would say you did okay for a rookie AND made all the mistakes we all made when we started.


$170 is WAY more than you should have paid. First, the BB looks like an orphan, not a blazer. The rest of the bunch has some interesting names and depending on the condition of the Jil Sander and the EZ, they might be good buys but not for $30! If they were all priced that high, the only thing I would have bought would have been the belvest unless the Jil Sander and EZ were NEW.

On the plus side, the Belvest was a great buy assuming the price was approximately the same as the Jil. The shoes may look nice and if they are your size, then wear them! They are worth very little in terms of resale.

Remember, these are all normal mistakes that nearly every one makes. You are way ahead of the other rookies because you are already on this forum and learning!

There were a bunch of smaller things I bought that aren't pictured, so 170 wasn't the total on just that lot. Jil and Zegna were $30, and the Zegna was actually the first time I was able to match an orphan from another shelf, so there's that at least. It fits decently, so i'll keep it around for a while. Belvest was $12, or whatever the untagged sports coat price is at Goodwill.

What about the brooks make it seem like an orphan? It was only $10, regardless.

I went to one last week that was a legit hoarder house. They hoarded 80s fashion. Had to snap a pic. the poster is classic.

I have been to lots of hoarder sales. There is one estate sale that is amazing that is amazing about organizing the stuff in a hoarder sale. In fact, she has gotten a reputation for her skills. She will have EVERYTHING organized. She prices EVERYTHING and no matter what it is, she has it in a baggie and labeled and priced. I don't know how she can make any money considering the weeks it takes her to get a sale ready, but she sells everything.

Doesn't Common Projects put numbers on the outside of the heel like that?
