Thanks. My size and everything.

I was at a "hub" SA that stocks much of mass and NH (Saugus) and OMFG everything was priced way out of joint (these were $35 and worth it, but my wife would've smacked me because I have so many shoes already if I'd paid that) so I took them up to the cash register and pled ignorance -- "Are these really $35? I can't do that if they are." I was with my 10 year old daughter, and she asked me if I was a senior so I could get half off. Honestly I said "No." She said "You can have them for fifteen." I said thanks and walked out with them.

I was chatting with this wonderful older woman in line -- she said a lot of dealers come in and that's why things are priced as they are. She also said that if they didn't give me a deal at the register she would buy them because she was a senior and we'd settle up in the parking lot.

This was a very unusual experience for me at an SA. Up here prices are set in stone.

Guys I need your help - I found these at an antique market not too long ago and couldnt leave them for $20. The insoles are missing, I cant figure out a thing about them. Im guessing 50s or 60s? The size is marked as 27.5, which could be Mexican or Japanese - but neither seems too likely. The only markings are that 27.5 on the footbed and theres a "Common Projects"-ish string of numbers that also bears a 27.5 on the top of the boot. Lining looks to be pigskin, exterior Im not so sure. Tough as nails though. Rock solid. Any help would be appreciated!

Ha, naw, just leather - I was asking more about age / any info about the maker. Its definitely leather though a pair of stingray boots like that would be the tits.

Just because I don't post every GD thing I find doesn't mean Spoo has a monopoly on the 'Gamo action

It probably helps if I look at all the pictures. Last one is a dead give away that it's not a swimmer. D'oh!

Couple of recent finds.

Super mint ISAIS Base S.

Thread first? What I believe to be Sea Turtle cowboy boots in near-deadstock condition (worn 1-2x max). These are so dope I can't even describe... the quality is head and shoulders above Lucchese IMO. Just sick.
