The official thrift/discount store bragging thread - Part II (Return to the Thunderdome) - Page 2777

Not a huge brag, but I got $35 for well(ish) worn Dunhill pajamas. You can definitely get more than that for the T&A ones, @timhortons.

Thickest wool shirt/shacket I've ever seen. Totally awesome. Totally Mint. Totally NA. Vintage PRL made in USA. English wool. New Zealand suede.

That's super sweet.  I think this would be classified as a "hunting shirt"

All that Canali talk earlier brought me some good luck. For the first time in 5 years, I found a tailored piece in my size. Recent 2 button micro hounds-tooth check SC w/ dual vents. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gificon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

This afternoon was a bit of a letdown after finding Brionis and Kitons earlier in the week. smile.gif

Four J Crew Ludlow suits

But these made the trip outside worthwhile: recent dark grey LV loafers. Cost me $65 -- but I wasn't going to leave them behind.

Sorry, all N/A.

For laces, I usually buy from Benjos. Great selection of traditional and non-traditional colors, plus waxed, round, flat, etc.

I second the dark laces over the light ones.

I've been playing a little catch-up but I'm losing hope.  Made it to page 2000 of 2777 today.  For those that encourage others to read both threads in their entirety, I can understand the newbie hesitation.  Maybe you guys can just stop posting for a couple of weeks? :rotflmao:

Next, one haul from yesterday. A haul so big that it was a 2 man job. Wes was my wingman for this pick, so consider this part 1 of 2 - his post to follow shortly. Everything - and I mean everything is stone mint NWT or NWOT shape. Jackets are NWOT and suits maybe 1 wear at maximum. All shirts are factory folded. Outerwear is NWOT. Ties are NWOT. Stone. Cold. Mint.

Well shit.

@SpooPoker, how do yall split the haul? Whoever grabs it gets it? You both sell half and split the total profits?

We've done this a few times, its kind of organic. Kind of a grab and keep thing but he found all the Versace squares and gave them to me. I found a bunch of grenadines and gave them to him. Ebb and flow.
