Sorry to hear about that man. I threw a few bucks his way. This thread raised about $800 for my kitten's vet bills about two years ago so don't worry about it.

Was going to wait till Sunday to include any finds over the weekend but got a couple pieces today I'm excited about.  Nothing really profitwise but the finds this week rank among my favorites.

Couple art pieces, twas $20 for both

Norman Rockwell limited print. Hometown News from his Willie Gillis series (aka Willie Gillis on K.P.)  No signature so not sure if there's actually any value in it but it's really cool and it's going up in the house.  Really like the frame too.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

L. Corbin limited print with certificate of limited edition.  Don't think there's much $$$ here but I like the actual painting a lot and will go up in the house.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Almost paid retail for some white bucks, good thing i found these for $6 in my size.  J Crew, pretty crispy after some work with the suede eraser and brush.  Pictured in spoiler in their maiden voyage.  Sadly not the Alden for Jcrew bucks

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Jacket thrifted as well

Gave an old grandma $10 cause she wanted to buy a painting and didn't have money.  15 minutes later i got to check off one of my thrift goals.  Nothing too special just a Robert Graham shirt but for some reason i've always wanted to find one in the wild.  nice and minty for $5.75

A couple fodder SCs.  First is older HF silk blend second is BB Glen Plaid with LP wool (made by Jack Victor)

So in summary nothing super exciting given the quality of items on this thread but got a lot of intangible value this week.  Hopefully some cool stuff over the weekend!

I don't normally pick up regular 501 Selvedge, but these were pretty cool. Anyone know what these are? I don't think they're the normal shrink to fit. Made in turkey, selvedge, leather patch. Awesome fading and DIY pre-repair.

Some fodder and more art.

57/75 on canvas.  Sold for $350 originally, no resales I can find for the canvas version, the paper version I've found.  Not bad for $5

Fun vintage camp shirt

Damn what the funck happened in here today? Golf tournament at work keeping me from thrifting all week.
Wifes in palm beach cleaning up down there. Pics of her hauls to come. Super fodder tease tho...

I get a TON of use out of my J Crew tan bucks, and lots of compliments too. Good find, IMO.

Nothing like scrolling through this thread to give one second thoughts about posting. But here are a few from an average day:

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Thomas Pink polo was minty, so I bit.
My aloha shirt fascination continues, especially for vintage stuff. I don't know if Waltah Clarke's is a valuable brand, but the print and the Kamehameha buttons grabbed me. Plus Gyotaku by Naoki for Reyn Spooner, and Joe Kealoha.

Luckily, my Borrelli luck continues as well, plus DeCaro, Talbott, Canali, and anonymous PS. I would have passed on the Gian DeCaro tie, but it's 6-fold. Any PNW folks know who makes for him?

If no one buys this Mill Valley BR hat, I can use it for a Hunter S. Thompson costume at Halloween.

No idea how old these deadstock, US-Made Woolrich trous are, but they're awesome.

Also awesome: these specs:

A bit of thrift sync w @snackbandit, but mine probably aren't as desirable. No name, made in Japan. They're for Burning Man, or maybe I can wear them for a Sting costume if the HS Thompson thing doesn't work out.

hung out with @ark8712 yesterday over drinks and appetizers and ignored my family for an hour while we discussed the intricacies of thrifting. Awesome time man, cant wait to do it again!

Thrift bros, Style Forum asked me to take over their Instagram account in the very near future. Is there anything you would like to see photographed in the Chicago area? Any stores, restaurants, architecture, etc, etc?

Street food, street style. As candid and gnarly as possible.

And random people fit pics in black and white.

Does a crew neck solid gray T-shirt from a ¥100 store count? Curiosity made me buy one. I mean, come on. It's only 99 cents smile.gif

Edit: surprisingly comfortable.

All the places you find awesome stuff mapped out in detail lol. Seriously though, I think the food and architecture are the highlights.
