^^^ I know right? Same with the rainbow of knit ties.

I managed a pair of NOS Cheaneys, a Banana Republic polo and 2 Linea polos and that was a fairly decent one stop. Sadly the Cheaneys are an 11 so will be getting a polish and then straight out the door.

Today was my 14th Anniversary and my wife gave me cash to spend at the thrifts! Some finds from today, both firsts for me. Burberry navy 100% loro Piana cashmere. Polo made in Italy I think Corneliani? Do we think it's a sport coat or an orphan? Feels like a sport coat and I couldn't find the pants anywhere.

yes corneliani. yes sport coat. happy anniversary!

Impunutra murdering the game this week. And that Cuci is fucking sexy.

Pop on Hermes scarf.

Then these two beauties. First one has the clash label and the liner is silk. Super soft but I can't find shit on it and those are the only tags.
Second one is equally soft and has no tags other than the size. Quilted. YKK zips on both.

Also missing a buckle for the belted area.

Then this lone wolf at a GW

Best of the best from the past couple of months below but quick question first...

Took a chance on this because of the familiarity of the "cashmere" tag, similar hanger neck tag and overall handwork.  Can anyone confirm it's made by Kiton or just a coincidence?

AppleMark

If not, at least this is definitely Kiton!  90% Cashmere, 1/2 lined, info tag still stitched on - looks like it was rarely worn, if at all:

First 3-piece suit I've found and actually bought - Corneliani wool/cashmere blend

A little dated (been trying to be a lot more selective with purchases) but first Sartoria Partenopea suit I've come across so I grabbed it

AppleMark

Brown pinstripe Isaia suit - solid with 2 button, dual vents and FF pants

AppleMark

Couple just for fun at the end - a T&A I really liked.  Flannel texture - really nice - pic doesn't do it justice

AppleMark

Dick Tracy "satin" jacket - really nice condition

Zwilling J.A. Henckels Four Star 8" Bread Knife

Wusthof 10" Chefs Knife

$375 worth of cutlery for roughly $25 at thrifts over the past 2 weeks. The Wusthof 10" Chef''s Knife was the real score for only $5, as it sells for $170-210 new. In great shape, all honed up and it cuts like a razor. I've wanted a knife like this since I was a young lad, so this really makes me happy.

That 10" has a serious bevel on it, more than likely used professionally

Awesome post! You could always try to have it pressed to a 3 roll 2 if you wanted to give it a more modern look

Please explain. I love knives and cutlery, and I'm good at sharpening/honing them... but I'm not familiar with this term in relation to them. Also, what makes you say it was used professionally?

When I found it, it was inside of a cardboard slip from a pro knife sharpener. Looks like it was maybe used a couple times since the professional sharpening but not much. Honed up beautifully and was gliding through onions like I was chopping air.

Only assuming that because it has been sharpened a lot, you can tell by the shape of the blade, it started off more symmetrical than that. The bevel is the shape and angle of the cutting edge that comes from sharpening. If you look at a picture of an new knife the edge of the blade will look completely different
