So, could @Noob's "favourite Poster" be considered a thread "Artifact"?nest.gif

We should keep a record of Artifacts when they are found. nod[1].gif

"The Beaver Coat" is also one.

I have quite a few pairs of dress shoes, I look after them (regular shoe cream, use shoe trees, don't wear 2 days in a row) and they still look great.

If it's snowing I'll put boots on and change into shoes at work, but that's about it. As said, loads of women do it, but that's as much a comfort thing about walking any distance in heels as much as looking after the shoes according to a colleague.

I have two pair of Allen Edmonds' Dalton dress boots. They look like Strand dress shoes when worn with a suit. I wear them in inclement weather and carry dress shoes in gym bag. Some days I'll just wear the boots all day if it's sloppy outside. Leather is thicker than shoes and stands up to wear.

Also not gren? Sorry for dumb questions. Never handled a gren tie in my life since I don't wear ties.

Y'all need to get @richnet12 to send you the Knowledge Box so you can see what real gren looks like.

A few of the items I've picked up over the last week - this is just what was to hand, there is some other stuff that's in the wash, or already put away, or I'm wearing it!

A bit of a tie thriftening - at least a UK version. Mrs NickD spotted them actually, all except for the Valentino were from one shop and all except the Aquescutum are in pretty good condition, the latter has a few good wears in and they were very cheap. The bow ties have no maker (except for the black on which is vintage Austin Reed), but are all good quality and made in England. I suppose I'll have to learn how to tie one!

I'd been after some linen trousers, so these Hackett ones were perfectly timed.

7 for all Mankind jeans, PRL prospect chinos and a couple of Lacoste polos, all available

Lee selvedge shorts in my size, and a PRL 1/4 zip jumper in my size. Why not

Pal Zileri Su Misura navy jacket, 40 short, available

You might have to throw in an RG shirt with the poster.

So what would constitute a thread artifact?

Haha, nah. That was my only question. Very few things I haven't found in the wild at this point and gren just happens to be one of them. I searched for good pics of the weaves so I should be able to spot it next time. I assumed it was just textured silk but I was listing and didn't want to leave it out if I was wrong.

Couple of bits to end the week...

NWT Brooks Brothers Pleated Tuxedo Shirt (will probably take an age to shift but couldn't leave a NWT for cheap!)

Christian Dior Silk PS. I assume genuine but old as hell. Going into my own rotation as it's lovely. Can't go wrong for a quid.
