Oh I totally get trendy brands going for much higher 2nd had, that makes sense because people don't like to part with them, like you said, not a ton of supply on the 2nd hand market. And this was a conclusion, one of the numerous basis of my efforts trying to figure this out, but I guess perhaps I over estimated the 2nd hand market supply, or it was especially plentiful when trying to figure this shit out, because I couldn't draw this conclusion based on what I was given, the ratios still made no sense to me and the supply and demand relationship was totally fucked. But searching again now, there does't seem to be as much product as I thought. Thank you for your insight, I appreciate it.

Now this one definitely makes sense, a relationship to SF and it being trendy in that matter. Thank you, you have both put my mind at ease. Before the trend factor wouldn't settle the situation for me cuz it was on some like worn Supreme exclusives on the 2nd hand market type deal. I thought this was a sign of the CM market getting fucked etc.. etc.. Anyways, much appreciated.

Yea but I can't settle for this. Robert Graham can do whatever, I could care less, they are hideous and if people wanna splurge on those things, by all meas...but true CM is what I'm about and there was this huge mystery starring me in the face for the first time in that thrift, that I was completely unaware of. I personally need to know this stuff though, I can't just let it be, I feel lie it's most advantageous for what I do.

i could be totally wrong, but in my experience, SF can REALLY make or break a brand. Back when Meermin wasnt shipping to the US and a few guys were posting pics of them, theyd pop up used on ebay for waaaay too close to retail.

Gents, its moving time for the Concealed family.  We are leaving our ancestral home of Massachusetts for warmer, if not greener, pastures in the Southeast.  I have already alerted the locals in Atlanta and I thrift less than once a week, so don't expect any interruption!  Would love to meet some folks and maybe get together for a beer or three like I have done in the best with some SF members here in the Boston area.

A few finds and a few questions.

Florsheim Imperial Shell LWBs - 9.5 D - kept in shoe trees and in good condition

AE Newports - 8D - some scuffs, but would make a great pair of summer kick-arounds

Nostalgia - na

Japanese made Singer 15 clone - great condition - NA - will see tons of use

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Schott cafe racer - great condition - just the right amount of patina - assume this is vintage - anyone have thoughts? tagged 46 - I wear a 40 or so and the arms and shoulders fit me, though the body is blousy - these must run tight

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Real or fake? tie seems nicely made

Oh I think without question you are right and there can be a very direct relationship between SF and a brands "street cred." I had no idea they had ties to this site, that actual fact in itself made everything much clearer.

i dont think they have any official ties to SF, but get enough members posting fits in "xyz" brand....youll see some revenue.

Probably a scarf tie, look for Hermes scarves in that pattern to find the model info.

There's an index here: http://piwigo.hermesscarf.com/index?/category/Home

40s or older, I think. Pocket label's the same as on my WWII officer's coat and some other pieces folks here have found of similar age.

No BB tag in the neck area? What's the lining made of?
