The official thrift/discount store bragging thread - Part II (Return to the Thunderdome) - Page 2631

One day in Toronto.

Corneliani Suit

BB Custom Tailored. Never seen this tag, anyone have deetz?

Not sure if these are a thing, but Moschino pants made in Italy.

Minty Farragamo cash/cotton shirt

Recent Zegna

Not sure if this is a thing @SpooPoker? I've only ever seen the Switzerland tag on Zegna items but obvs not a Zegna tag.

3 of the sickest jackets I've found to date. All 3/2 roll, double vented, and cashmere blends. All Canali.

100% LP cashmere Canali, unfortunately unvented.

I know Jack Victor isn't the best for resale, but 100% Linen, half lined, flat front pants = a perfect summer suit

Staple Navy BB Fitzgerald, looks like it's hardly been worn

Canali suit, unfortunately double pleated.

Ties L to R: NWT VV for Citi Bank, Billy Reid, Armani, McQueen, Andrews Tie's, RLPL, RT, Etro, Tombolini.

I must admit to being hesitant to click on the spoiler. Part of me was afraid that you were about to pull a Spoo and show your Wang.

I was pretty pleased to trade a pair of old Naked & Famous and a pair of old LL Bean shoes for these. Came out with cash in my pocket, too...

Minty pair of Oliver Peoples OV5031s for NDG. Made in Japan. N/A; personal use.

I've been pretty busy lately with a new job and studying a lot, so this is the only find I've had so far this month. Paul Stuart by Isaia seer sucker suit - triple patch pocket, quarter lined, dual vent, MoP buttons, pretty badass. Available.

The custom BB is a newer (within the last decade at the most) tag from their MTM line. There should be a date on the sizing tag, most likely 2010 or newer.

Bill Cunningham, 87
died today
Cunningham photographed New York street fashion for the last 40 years for the NY Times.
There's a great documentary about him on Youtube, link below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJnR_L0QCSg

Cunningham's longtime assistant John Kurdewan posted a tribute on Instagram. He wrote, "William John Cunningham,
the genius who created the art form of street photography and had the most singular eye in fashion, died this afternoon
from the complications following a stroke."

Cashmere Jack Simpson

Overexposed to show pattern

About Jack Simpson: Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Jack Simpson has been a leader in the field of customized apparel for twenty years. Esquire featured him as one of the “Ten Best Dressed Men in Fashion”. Departures, the American Express platinum cardholder’s publication, recognized him as an “Arbiter of Taste”, an accolade extended to but a handful of men worldwide. GQ cited him as one of the “Twelve Guys You Should Know”. The prestigious Neiman Marcus magazine, The Point, wrote: “Simpson is never short on charisma or brilliant style ideas that fit the man. With his couture service, Simpson is creating entire wardrobes and every piece is designed with taste and individual lifestyle in mind.”

This service is exceptionally rare, as outside of the couture salons in Paris, this one-on-one collaboration between designer and customer is seldom available. Among his clients have been film and television stars, cabinet secretaries, senators, prime ministers, prominent entrepreneurs, and accomplished professional athletes. The quality of the clothing is exceptional; the Robb Report, America’s leading magazine for the male luxury lifestyle, named the Jack Simpson garment as one the world’s top custom suits, in company with Kiton, Brioni, Attolini, and Oxford.
