I love this place!
Thanks. This means my first foray into estate auctions was a success.

Estate find, but thrift pricing.

I hate that feeling of being just minutes too late for a sweet find. Old school zenith cabinet record player. Couldn't care less about the record player portion, I really liked the cabinet. With some work could've been beautiful again. Someone had painted it's exterior. Some lucky dude got it for $14.99.
If you can believe some of the asking prices of similar units, I missed out big time. Oh well.

,^^ I see those all the time for pretty cheap, and in nice shape too. The audio components are usually worthless, though I've heard tales of where the owner had replaced the crap components with high-end ( McIntosh, etc) stuff, so I always look to make sure.

That makes me feel a little better. The only one I could find of the same model is listed for $3799.
I mainly liked the cabinet design. The internals were original zenith stuff, nothing nice.

^^Missed out on a nice Loro fabric Hickey suit by seconds. Some guy was working the rack from the right, I was working it from the left, the suit was in the middle. He got to the middle before I did. Oh well, got to the other rack before him for some consolation prize tongue.gif

Not sure if this is a thing or not. Made in NYC and NWT, so I rolled the dice.

This was hanging on the end of a GW rack. People were laughing at the colors. I saw the label and grabbed it. But is it really BBBF? The "Made in Hong Kong" and "sport shirt" threw me off a little bit.

Not Black Fleece.

@SteelGuy it's not BBBF, just BB. But you will see BBBF made in Thailand, China and USA.

@Pierson v Post
@TheNeedMachine

Thanks... I see a lot of regular and old BB, but still haven't seen BBBF in the wild. It'll go in the fodder pile.

It was a fun day in the trenches. Didn't find any grails. But, added some solid fodder to the backlog. I did find this little gem.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Then, while I was checking it out for defects, an older lady who was putting out belts said to me, "I think that came with a box. Let me check in the back."

God bless people who go out of their way to make someone happy! :)
