The official thrift/discount store bragging thread - Part II (Return to the Thunderdome) - Page 2568

Almost got a good one today. Pretty sure it's Anderson and not Upton as I've heard some of you say on here... Pretty decent replica, but a few things didn't add up to real. Date box, case numbers not indented, no Spyder text near crown. If I'm wrong, please let me know. For the $150 they were asking I walked due to not sure if authentic. Manager wasn't willing to budge on price at all, even with one of the chrono hands not attached and not working.

Those LV "uniformes" are used by associates whom work for LV and not the mainline quality you'd expect. Quality is definitely not there.

@drlivingston they're not much, but it was buy 2 get one free, and all other suits/SC's were crap lol. So grabbed that.

A good pass. It's not a well regarded watch with little demand. $150 + repair costs; you might make your money back, but wouldn't be worth the risk or time.

..all this is assuming it was real.

Not that its great quality but its worth picking up. People pick up skeets all day although they are abominations to menswear.

If you think they're not worth it, you might as well pass up the entire shirt and pant section of the store.

People freak out about kiton shirts that you can buy all day on ebay for $50-$75 but a suit that will sell for over $100 is a pass? I disagree.

@div25sec9 yeah, I know it isn't a true watch brand, I kinda like the style for a more athletic outfit. I'll research it a little more and decide if it's worth around $75 as a beater watch (half off day, assuming this store doesn't exclude watches even though their advertising says half price on all x color tags). I don't wear a watch much any more, though.

Finally found my first Brioni in a thrift store. Beat to hell collar but for $3 I couldn't pass it up. No really amazing stuff lately, mainly just fodder.

Not true thrift, but a Junya pop from Crossroads (n/a):

And a not-fake Ferragamo and a badass USA made madras SC:

99.5% sure fake. Pretty mediocre watch if real anyway, but pretty sure it's fake. Bezel numbers being frosted and not indented and the lack of detailing as a whole lead me to believe it's fake though.
