I posted this the other day and it was determined it was early 60's.
However, Tweedydon did some research and connected a link over on AAAC that in reality this is not a HT. The shield indicates a time when the HT producers started to have some competition in the late 50's when demand in the US was very strong. The coats with this emblem were made by the competition who did not follow official HT rules. After a court case, these companies could no longer produce HT.
