The official thrift/discount store bragging thread - Part II (Return to the Thunderdome) - Page 2445

Just a couple random finds since I'm organizing stuff:

Zegna cord, BB cord, Polo linen

I realized last weekend how much of a difference there was in thrift store pricing across the country. That being said, there are values to be found everywhere. I've been on the lookout for a grey suit in 44L for my roommate, and I kopped a Zegna 15milmil when I went home for the weekend.

Some interesting pick-ups from the weekend for me.

Vtg Turnbull & Asser cashmere/silk tie, Rivetz of Boston MIT silk logo tie, Polo bear button down & vtg. Paul Stuart wool cap. Let me know if you have any interest.

For the Lo heads:

Light denim patch pocket blazer. The bottom third has what I thought was paint splatter, blue/yellow/red, but is consistent around the blazer. Has anybody seen anything like this before. Beautiful MOP buttons (?) and functional cuffs.

PRL leather jacket. Found at a last minute stop at me local GW.

Hartmann wheeled carry on

All tue thrift.

Took a little trip to San Francisco and picked these up. From 1 store on Saturday late afternoon. I left a pair of 511 selvedge and a pair of Rail cars with the crotch blown out.

Couldn't leave the samurais although they are pretty well worn.

man, that was a goldmine that store. That store delivered almost every time i went. i probably spent 20K a year there. I was gutted when they closed. I thought the good shit would continue to flow to the other stores but so far, i have no idea where its going. its a struggle finding a replacement for that store.

Had a great saturday of hoarding thrifting. Several thriftstores had 50 % off, so got up early and made a little bike trip.

I know, I know...but it sells ok.

All below true thrift pricing, and all (except the kids jumper) pretty much my size - the guy who ordered the bespoke shirts had his sleeves an inch or so bigger than I would, but I'll live with that.

Nice haul, Nick! Keeping the UK side strong.
I'm off to town this afternoon to see what I can find. But mainly for silks and fabrics to make my own squares from. Looking for shantung hopefully!

Thought of you when I spotted a Hackett jumper & shirt on Sunday, but sadly both were XL and would have drowned you. Good luck fabric shopping.
