The official thrift/discount store bragging thread - Part II (Return to the Thunderdome) - Page 2329

E-Thrit came in. Not happy as I can be though... The listing said Loro Piana, not fabric by Loro Piana. I also asked him if it was made by LP or just the fabric, he stated the whole jacket was made by LP. Or am I a clown and I'm wrong?

Also the sleeve lining on both sleeves are ripped at the cuff, no biggie (easy fix) but would have been nice to know!

The sleeves can be lengthened so that isn't a problem :)

Plus little thrift pic.

Corneliani Tie, William Hunt Shirt & Paul Smith 'Made in Japan' trousers.

Yea, that is a good looking jacket, but I would at least reach out to the seller and let them know the jacket was not made by LP and that in the future, he/she needs to disclose tears in the lining.

I did reach out straight away.
Wasn't happy, but to be honest, I paid £13 including first class signed for postage. It's not a bad price!

Poor, sweet Vicuña frown.gif

And any chance somebody will write to him and suggest he not do that for his listings (in the spirit of being helpful)?

Yeah, the seller needs to use better descriptions, but they've only got about a fiver for it after postage and fees, so I wouldn't be too hard on them!

I hope to get some finds posted over the weekend. I still thrift and read, just haven't had time/energy to get things posted. You guys have had some awesome stuff. @Nataku: Cool posters! Was that all thrifted? Maybe I missed the background, but I think you mentioned that you weren't sure what was in all of it until you got it home.

Post-work thrift fit, so rumpled. Shirt and PS weren't thrifted, unfortunately. Dog wouldn't stay out of it, so had to get him to pose:

PRL (Corneliani) suit
Local store tie
Henry Maxwell bespoke shoes
Mazzarelli shirt
Rubinacci square
