Question: Anyone have any experience with how narrow AA is in Alden shoes? Contemplating an ethrift but don't want to end up buying foot binders.

I've had superb transactions with lots of you dudes lately, and have been very remiss about sending shouts. That's a major my bad. So let me shout to some recent awesome dudes: Woofa, Dadjeans, Koala-T, ReubenR (as always) and Cottondockers.

First: Really F'ing skinny. I had a pair of Alden for BB tassels in an 11 or 11.5 AA that I thrifted a while back. After stretching they kinda fit, but they hit the road when I figured out what size(s) I actually wore.

I wear a C width and sometimes (depending on the last), I can wear a B width. An A would super narrow, thus an AA would be outrageously narrow! Seriously. If you can't wear an A width, don't even think about an AA.

On most alden lasts, I wear a full half size down from what I wear in the majority of other brands. Width is the same though, so I'm guessing that AA is pretty darn skinny.

I usually wear D, and have worn C/B in Alden slip ons. I also have AAA vintage Lloyd & Haig shell PTBs that I stretched for months and that I can wear with the laces loose. So I'm wondering if I can make do.

Course, seller doesn't take returns, so....
